Hello my friend, I have been having this discussion… hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism both cause hypertension… at least that’s what I’ve seen from all the things I’ve seen and peer reviewed literature Your blood pressure is only low in late hypothyroidism, and by that point you would KNOW you had hypothyroidism, possibly due to onset of bradycardia, but these are late hypothyroidism issues Also hypothyroidism is very rare in men, there is about a 5% chance you’ll have hypothyroidism (and that’s on the high end considering this condition affects 10-15% of the overall population, and over 80% of those with hypothyroidism being women) If you are male and under 50 it seems very unlikely

Won’t your blood pressure go up anyways in subsequent blood pressure test?
