At least I thought he watched her, but I know for sure she died. It looks like that in the movie he was really close to her, and maybe Veronica reminds him of her?? I really don’t know what I’m getting at with this, but I do think he could be considered a yandere!

Yeah in the musical he wanted to take down the whole school with Veronica because he just thought that's what she wanted since she was bullied a lot And when Veronica killed herself, he blamed the school for it and still blew it up

I feel horrible for JD; he’s a product of his past and when he says “Please don’t leave me alone” you can hear the pain in his voice. His father is wack, he saw his mother commit suicide, he might’ve been bullied, had so move around a lot- JD has unsolved problems and as a result, wants to hurt people and the only way he knows how to love someone is to be controlling and manipulative (which might’ve been how his father treated his mother, resulting in her suicide). I feel so flipping bad for him aaaaaaaa In the end, when he explodes himself, you can see the relief in his face as he finally ends his misery. Nobody should have to live a life like that, but he couldn’t live any other way, and that’s really depressing

JD was only doing what Veronica wanted him to do... It's kind of like a reverse Macbeth: a Veronica was manipulating JD into manipulating her kind of deal... For example, in "Beautiful," Veronica says that she has to try not to burn the school down. After, in Fight For Me, Veronica sings about how she wanted someone to fight for her. Later, she was the one who climbed into JD's bed and had sex with him in order to deal with her own problems. JD was so happy to have someone care for him for once in his life, so he gave his life to her. After that, the first murder JD committed was Heather, who hadn't done anything to him. In fact, the only reason he killed Heather was because Veronica wanted her dead. Later, he kills Kurt and that other guy because they tried to rape Veronica and were spreading rumours about her. She was simply manipulating JD into telling her to do what she subconsciously wanted so that she would not have the guilt of having come up with the murder schemes herself while, simultaneously, running away from her troubles... Finally, she realizes that she was the one who had caused him to murder so many people: In Dead Girl Walking Reprise, she calls JD "the monster [she] created."

The difference of character in the musical and movie is insane. In the movie, he was a complete sociopath. When Veronica "hanged" herself, he brought a gun and said something along the lines that he came there to do it himself (kill her.) however, in the musical, there is much more emotion, passion, and I guess love? This is it. I found it. This is my favorite Heathers animatic. It doesn't matter if these are your OCs (they look amazing anyways) and not the original character portrayals. The facial expressions capture every single emotion that pass through the songs or my head. It's just perfect. Also, it's impossible for me too see JD any other way expect for this version. I sincerely applaud your art style. Bravo!!

I love the tiny detail of having scars on his arms to truly show how depressed and unfortunately mentally Ill he is, it’s a nice nod to the line “Don’t open a vein” in Freeze your Brain. Nice work and what an amazing animatic it truly shows how dark the song is and how insane he is. Also your art style is stunning

I remember singing Hamilton and Heather songs on the walks to home and school. I always sang with a few of my friends, YELLING the lyrics. It was definitely the highlights of my elementary memory. Ty for the beautiful nostalgic animatic
