The ritual of 7 pheras is immortal and is present from time immemorial. I am nearly 80 years old and went through my seven pheras,my father and mother ,who are no longer alive also went through the same ritual My only son who is a IT specialist and my daughter in law ,a scientist,also went through the same. This is the beauty of Hinduism,it is eternal.

In Hindu religion no religious ritual is cosidered complete without wife .women are moraly , religiously and legally protected and respected .This is most important ritual befote Sindoordan (Mang bharai) . But now Modiji gave legal protection to muslim women also .

During wedding ceremony, the pundit recites a vachan (promise), and the bride & groom walk a circle around the holy fire in consent of the vachan. During the circling around the holi fire, the dupatta of the bride and groom are tied in a knot, thus signalling that the vachan being made is jointly acceptable to both.

Vachan (promise/ oath ...ek tarah kee kasam) are pronounced by the priest while the couple is taking the saat phere around the sacred fire.
