I live In hawley. Moved here about 5 years ago. My fiancee all but grew up here. I LOVE it. I live on river st. Smack dab in the middle. Ugh I hate that. I want more country like I loved growing up! I love it so so much tho! Such a perfect little town! Jeff swannick is a great man. The owner of this resteraunt! I LOVE this town!

Great tour of my favorite big small town in PA!

As a Jersey kid , we’d spend summers at Lake Wally! And Hawley was a innocent little town that was kid friendly back in the 60’s. The Trading Post was my favorite shop . In September some of my family are getting to enjoy this lovely area again 😎 can’t wait

You had perfect weather for this video!! I spent a lot of my younger days in Hawley with my best friends from high school!

Hawley Diner was a victim of the coronavirus in 2020. When we built a house in the area in the 1980s one of the downtown stores was selling a screenprinted tee with the message: Where the hell is Hawley. Not exactly Welcome Wagon, is it? But the IGA market is OK, there are a couple of dollar stores, the only stoplight is at the very end of town, the library is very good for a small town. Settlers Inn and the family that owns it are going strong. The Boat House is also in good hands. But the feed store closed after decades of business, the downtown hotel has had several owners in the last 30 years, and the Covid pandemic has taken its toll on other small businesses. The bagel place closed. Big box stores do not help much - the hardware store that had been doing business since 1857 closed a few years ago.

You forgot about the Ritz Playhouse! Also, the Boat house isn't really that good anymore, i work there, and the owners aren't that great.

How did you miss including the Settlers Inn?

Minor detail but I'm not sure I'd consider Hawley the Poconos, I feel like you need to be south of Wallenpaupack The Poconos are trashy AF so this would be a good thing for Hawley
