kayla my best guess is because kate played skylar in bring it on and skylar's the popular mean girl. i don't see it, i think kate was the perfect choice for karen and taylor was perfect for regina!

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Taylor Louderman. And I really understand why she doesn’t want to watch the movie and copy Rachel McAdams. What I CANNOT believe is how she has never watched it before! Like, it’s a CLASSIC.

I've always though Taylor was more Karen and Kate Rockwell more Regina based on looks and acting. Not that Taylor didn't do an amazing job, and I think vocally she was the better fit for Regina (not a knock on Kate, either!). Regardless I'm sure it was fun for them to do another OBC together! How amazing must that have been?!

omg all the non-theatre people in the comments are driving me nuts: 1) Everyone who plays a certain character (with the exception of understudies) should have their own "take" on said character. Each musical Regina is different from each other, and all of them are different than musical Regina. It's boring for both the audience and the actors if they all copied the movie 2) I'm sure they wear wigs in the show 3) Them in this video is not acting. They're just reading lines off of a page. They sound "monotone" and "not into it" just because that's how they speak naturally, and they're just having fun, they're not performing.

Madeline Wright Lol how do you not see it. There’s a group of people everyone worships, meanwhile there’s a girl (the main character) who tries to fit in with them, and realizes its not for her. The only difference is the approach the main character takes to change that. In Heathers Veronica kills, but in Mean girls Cady just gets revenge. Yeah the movies if you look at it from a simple aspect are different. Heathers is about a couple killing popular kids while mean girls is about a girl who has no clue what she’s doing trying to fit in but the true meanings are literally so alike. Especially because of the fact Heathers was making fun of movies like this.

Not sure how I feel about this show so far. Everything I’ve seen I’m not impressed with. BUT I felt the same way about a number of shows like this(Legally Blonde for example), and ended up enjoying them. So we will see!
