What this movie does so brilliantly is that it displays the stress and hardships of high school without being graphic or disturbing and instead portrays it in absolutely hilarious fashion. That’s all thanks to Tina Fey.

You clearly have not seen great classic movies like ..seven, good will hunting, jaws, et, etc etc

Still one of the best movies ever. It’s so nostalgic, funny, and the ending has a really good message. I grew up with this movie and now I’m 27 and I’ve seen it so much, I’ll never get sick of it. I love this movie so much and it’s my top favourite Lindsay Lohan movie. Everyone in this movie is incredible but of course Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams are my favourites

The funny thing is that Janis was actually saying that about Gretchen but the movie trailer was saying otherwise so it’s misleading

I have thought about this and I think this is the film that broke Lindsay Lohan. Think about it: She plays the part of a girl who is just absolutely insanely ridiculously cute. She peaked in this film. What can you do after that? It's like having been captured in the best moment of your whole life and having it frozen. Her own natural beauty at its lifetime peak magnified through the lens and glamour of Hollywood. There is absolutely no way you can follow your own cutest moment dialled up to 11 by Hollywood. From that moment on you know your best moment is in the past. Whatever you do you cannot live up to that moment again. It must destroy you to know you are not and cannot be that person you are seeing on screen. The real you is comparatively uninteresting and boring and ordinary. I don't know about you but I'd think my whole life was lost and dive into a drink and drugs binge too, knowing that a character had been made from me that I myself could never emulate or live up to.

I'm from the area portrayed in the movie. It was exactly like this at this time and is still like this (but worse w/social media) to some extent to this day. Especially the moms.

Back when the acting and the movie... all felt so natural, a remake on this movie can only make the quality of the video better.... everything else is already top notch. more makeup and glitterly looks won't cut it.
