MEA - Middle East Airlines A321neo Flight to Lebanon
I flew on one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East - MEA, Middle East Airlines from Dubai to Beirut.
The flight is operated by MEA’s new A321neo. Follow captain Maxim on the takeoff from the cockpit. Check out MEA’s in-flight offering and what’s it like to fly onboard. Before landing, enjoy a spectacular approach into Beirut Int’l Airport.
After landing, I went plane spotting around Beirut Airport. Watching a few MEA A320 and A330 takeoffs. Lebanon’s economic crisis is obvious, as there is no stable electricity supply. No traffic lights and very little light in the city at night. The difference between the official and black market exchange rates is almost 20 times. It is certainly cheaper for tourists to visit but can Lebanon survive the current economic crisis?
Next week, I will share more experiences as a tourist in Lebanon and whether the country is safe to visit. I flew out of Beirut on a MEA A330-200.

For a place going through extreme hyperinflation, the folks are still friendly. What an amazing flight and tour of Beirut.

I have been traveling for long long time with lots of different airlines I have to admit MEA was the best one the best airlines I have been with honestly ❤️
No matter what Lebanon goes threw it will always survive and to see what it’s going threw right now it still has a amazing air line and I’m proud for it to be my country
Love Lebanon. I really hope they are going back on track. Beirut always in my heart.
Most beautiful cabin crew in the world!!
Really impressive considering the economic crisis the country is going through, little indication of cost-cutting infringements on customer experience. A real credit to the institution.
your stewardess on the A321NEO was absolutely gorgeous
Thank you Mr sam chui for visiting Beirut. It was a great experience to watch your channel
leabenon is a very beautiful country my father used to tell me about it and how he lived for 5 years in Beirut. and how it was fascinating back in the 60s

It is still a very beautiful country by the Med sea! After all it had gone through, it makes it more interesting for the curious driven visitor like myself.
Oldest and well established airline in the Middle East.. Lebanese Air Liban, cedars wings.. always impressed by their resilience, hospitality and unique service
Amazing people living through very tough times with humor, grace, and kindness. I wish them only the best. Shalom, Salam!
It’s great that there’s such a good airline in Lebanon as MEA. This video confirmes that it can not only survive, but also remain one of the best airlines in Asia. Thanks for this amazing tripreport Sam 👍

MEA is my favorite airline by far! CREW is amazing, their service is amazing, their planes are well maintained and, man... I have been to their training facilities.... Simply Amazing. My hopes are MEA will survive and thrive!
My friend Mark's dad was from Lebanon, he would talk about the earthquakes how you could be the phone with someone and they say an earthquake has begun, meanwhile it would take another 30sec to 1mintue before you feel the earthquake yourself depending on how far apart you were. Like an early warning system, but person to person. Thanks for highlighting what Lebanon is going through and the beautiful resourceful people they are.
The captain nailed the landing. Just beautiful.

There are twenty (20) times more Lebanese people live outside Lebanon. For instance, ten (10) times more Lebanese in Brazil than in Lebanon. Just saying.

The airline is actually beautiful but the lebanese ppl are racist curious and opportunist am talking out of experience as am a mixed race of both lebanese and sierra Leonean descent whenever I go to Lebanon I face racist situations in fact I've vowed not to go there any more!!! Most of people of colour like me suffer the same situations
@ramsey55

@@sawsanshamel2330 as a lebanese-palestinian american I dont appreciate your generalization of my people. It is very unfortunate that you had to experience the prejudice that you faced in Lebanon, however those few interactions does not mean you can group all of us together and label us as racist etc.. If that was the case then you should consider labeling every other race/ethnic group as "racist" because I am sure many people have had bad interactions in every area of the world.

@@ramsey55 well let me rephrase let me say most of them I experienced these situations since almost my childhood and its really traumatising and am sure most mixed race like me are experiencing the same issues yes racism does exist anywhere in the world but at least there is a law that will intervene like for instance in Europe if you make any racist allegations you'll face prosecution and sometimes prison but in Lebanon it's totally different

Your trip journey was amazing sir. I always love your channel. I love your explanation of every detail of aircraft, including the Service
What a wonderful video Sam. Beyond your introduction to MEA, I also really enjoyed the little bit of Beirut that you were able to show me. Thank You!!
Hi Sam, amazing work. Thank you for introdcuing us to MEA. Just beautiful cabin crew members; I want to fly MEA just to meet one. Thank upi again for opening up the Middle East. I sill love your first video from Sydney to Singpapore on the A380, having been served a coconut on dry-ice. Cheers...Keep flying.
Wow, this looks and feels really great ! Beautiful plane, interior and air hostess!!
Great video with an amazing flight and tour of Beirut. People there very friendly.
Brilliant video about MEA. Lebanon 🇱🇧 is so beautiful. Thanks Sam.
Sam. That was great! You always bring out the best in people, a rare talent in this day and age! This was one of your best!
I visited Lebanon four times. First in 1996 six years after the end of civil war and Beirut was destroyed. I spent a lot of time in the countryside. As a travel agent MEA offered me a discount of 75 per cent. Thank you to the arline 🙏😉Then I returned for arabic courses and holidays. Lebanon is beautiful and I am sad for so many struggles. Lebanese are so nice and do not deserve what they are facing now. Thank you for the video.

Been to Beirut 3 times last time was in 2001. Turkish Airlines from Manchester to Istanbul and had a layover!!! Then Turkish to Beirut. The last time was with British Airways ....the flight had come from Damascus, and as we took off from Beirut the stewardess had just come from the flight deck as the pilot rotated! Had to catch the stewardess and pull her to the seat beside me. Chateau musar is a lovely full bodied red from the Bekka valley. Lot of good wine from there
A great and enjoyable video as always. Waiting for your next one!!
Hey Sam . I’m Lebanese. I go on that airline every time when I’m going to Lebanon . Such a good airline. The breakfast is good .
sam is really inspiring to me because of how excited he gets about the simple things in life, like the tail design. love the channel and love the vibe, inspirational really.
Loved every minute of this video Sam Thanks
Great food, hospitality and gorgeous women, what else do you need on a flight. I hope Lebanon will overcome its issues, it’s one of the few places I would like to visit at some point in the future if it’s even possible for me to do so given the US is suffering it’s own issues
Loved this video of mea and Lebanon sam . Watching this makes me look forward to going in September even more now ❤️
It's a big pleasure mr sam to have you in Lebanon and trying the mea
Your consistency and quality of content never disappoints!
I appreciate sam trying all of types of airlines and showing us all the hidden jems of airlines
Thanks for a great video Sam! I’m a Lebanese expat and it hurts to see Lebanon hurting from far away. The amount of tourists who made the trip this year is a sunshine we needed in this dark tunnel. You’ll always be welcome in Beirut. Enjoy it!
Thank you for this lovely review and for your visit to the country of Cedars! :D
Sam, thanks for this amazing video and what a lovely crew of MEA, they made a great impression on me.

I'm from Lebanon and I love this thanks so much for the entertainment sam
Sam everywhere on these flights... sam probably got fly miles like whoa! ✈✈
What an amazing airline but what a sad state for the country. Constant interference from other regional and international countries has turned this amazing country into rubble. I hope the resilience, beauty, and warmth of its amazing people help Lebanon find its way back to economic and social prosperity! Best wishes from India.
Sam, wow! What a wonderful perspective. Thank you so much for helping to share the world about Lebanon! It was a big pleasure showing you around.
I am thrilled you went to Lebanon, I have a very good friends that are from there. Their daughter attends the American University there. They have told me about the power issues and the long wait for gas too. But, I will share this video with them, I know they will be thrilled. Love your vlogs,
I remember flying from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon on MEA and service was not so great but as i can tell now they have improved and gone way beyond my expectation. Also my business class flight i took once with them didn't have the greatest seats it was like economy with just a more bigger seat with extra recline but now they have for sure improved everything including catering
Am very happy you’ve reviewed MEA
Always enjoy your adventures!😋
Thanks Sam, Great Video, love your passion and content.

Amazing captain and very nice plane landing and everything thx 🙏 love lebanon
Thank you Sam for visiting mea hope you enjoyed it 🙏🏻🇱🇧
Your video is always positive and happy. Keep it up!
Out of all the airlines I’ve been on, MEA food is the best. For a three hour flight I’ve never been so stuffed full of food
That food selection for the short flight was amazing.
A beautiful country and people, MEA flight attendants always elegant, I feel so sorry for the Lebanese people, they have endured so much for so long, the old paint job looks great again.
Seats looked awesome 😍
Lebanon always finds itself going through hell. a shame for such a beautiful country.
