My dad over dosed about 10 years ago. He was on drugs for years and we didn’t know until he OD’d. He survived (because he works in a hospital and OD’d at work) thank god, but this song still hits me hard wondering how I would be in life without my dad. My family was hours away from him when we found out and no one could find him for hours. I’m so lucky to still have him and he has been clean ever since ❤️

All of his songs are true and he never swears so that’s one of the reasons he is so good🙃

This was probably one of my absolute favorite songs from him. It was a true story which you probably guessed, and he’s just such an honest guy, I don’t think I’ve ever heard one of his song and not been like “wow! That was deep.” I actually got into BTS right after him because they both had really deep lyrics that I could connect to, and when I was done listening to them I was always thinking about things in a different light. I was into BTS before NF, then I think 2-3 years after, I came into NF and I instantly was in awe. I still love both, though their music styles different, they portray similar messages and I couldn't be more grateful.

I can tell you this much, my mom walked out when I was 3, left me behind for drugs. I'm 49 with two daughters, it's definitely fucked me up for life. I couldn't get along with their mother, who is the love of my life , because of my own issues with relationships.

My comment was in regards to the reactors saying that both em & NF have had rough relationships with with their mothers but in NFs situation he has to apologize to her spiritually since she has passed & em apologized in his song Headlights.
