Left IIM Shillong and IIM Mumbai OSCM only for this to happen. One year deferment is also confirmed or not who knows. They just get away with it under the garb of 'subject to AICTE approval'.

Leaving a reputed Govt. college for a private college is a very big mistake whether it is MDI or XLRI. Remember at the end of the day Private college only thinks about their own profit and they can't any decisions related to seates without the permission of AICTE whereas IIMs have independent statutory status.

Bro it's MDI, not XLRI or SPJIMR. Should have stuck to IIM Shillong. All IIMs eventually would overtake private colleges in the near future. But anyway, hope it worked out well for you.

Shame on MDI. Why can't they talk and increase CORE and HR seat where less students are impacted. Highly mismanaged administration.... Absolutely no morale to teach management....

If you are a General category student then to get calls from top 5 IIMs with the profile you have mentioned you will need CAT percentile in the range of 99.91 to 99.99 %tile. Anything below 98.00 %tile may not land you in any IIMs of India, forget about the top 5.
