When you don't have much why keep spending your money buying things over and over when people are lazy and just throw fixable stuff away.

Excellent work . . .we throw away to many things today because it's cheat,but it's nice to see someone recycle something that would have only been in a landfill and now it will last another 5 years or more

I might be wrong but all of the guys restoring are doing just that. They are taking it apart, cleaning/ fixing then putting it back together as it was built. They aren't building anything from scratch so all of the complaints about earths and such shouldn't be directed to a person who is recycling what was once working as per the electrical system of that country. If you want the countries electrical system to operatrate to the standard you think it should you are welcome to travel over to the country and fix it, continuing to harp on about something that isn't the restorers fault isn't to help anyone but to inflate your own sense of superiority over people who have to live with this form of equipment/ electricity. If you want to change to happen in these poorer countries then volunteer your time to help and live a time in their shoes.

When I saw the bar code at 3:11, I thought this fan can't be all that old, because bar codes are pretty recent. Well after using Google to research bar codes, I learned bar codes were first used in 1974 on a pack of chewing gum, and that was approximately 45 years ago. No telling how old this fan is, but it's pretty old . Good job Mr. E. plus we got to see a full view of Mr. E. Looking forward to the next video...Ken from California USA.

Nice effort!!

Very Good restoration, but try using hydrogen peroxide cream 20%, and your tropical Sun on the plastics instead of painting to keep the plastic original, you would be surprised at to how the plastic will come back like new. I love these pedestal fans with their well balanced blades work, plenty breeze minus the noise, My crown table top is from 1974, that fan is early to mid 90's it isn't that old, but still a Good piece of machine, I bet you will 20 years of operation easy from it!

NO...... MD = Midea (Shunde, Guangdong) SMC had longer history & founded in Hong Kong. SMC founder Mr. Yung's hometown (倫教) is next to Midea(北滘). Anyway Mr. Yung was well known guy in SD & had good biz deals around the area. you happen to have a video on restoring a 20 yr old pedestal sub pump? ... my pedestal sub pump became disconnected from the rest of the line and as a result of water not having anywhere to go it just squirted out the pipe like a fountain till i noticed it the next day, so i shut it off and at that point it seized up cuz it was on too long (still turns but really stiff so it wont start by itself). i did buy a new one but saved old one as backup but have no clue how to seize the pump ... any videos in yours or someone else's library would be appreciated

Interesting - called a pedestal fan in U.K/the west (indoor, cooling type).12 inch impeller. I recognised the design of the motor housing, cage and control panel. Amusingly he didn’t rewind the motor, like on his other videos 🤔. Came with the compulsory South Korean off-delay timer - due to their death by cooling fan phobia (when sleeping) 😆. Also the large square base of the pedestal with castors (thought these would increase the risk of the fan moving/creeping in operation). I wonder why he spray painted the metal base black and then put the white spray painted plastic top on it? Was intrigued to how he prised the motor shells off the stator.
