Thanks for showing the good and the bad of showing in dressage. I am impressed you are going out and doing it, it inspires me to work towards getting out there.

Thanks Nella; I know most people just post the good bits but it’s all a journey. We had a lot against us this day! Hopefully my back will be better and the next venue will be quieter!

@@bexwbc1671 Also really nice to see your honest reaction to your scores and the judges comments. It is so important for those who choose to show to realize that they are just paying for one person’s assessment of their ride. While it is nice to work towards getting better scores, oftentimes the scores don’t necessarily match with how you feel about a test.

@@nellafrosst6453 yes this is true. I was more upset by her comments on the sheet than the scores. He was so tense with all the interruptions it was never going to go that well! Some of the low scores were well deserved, a couple could have been more generous. Altogether I’m just proud he didn’t do anything silly as a lot of horses would have with a jet wash hissing water skywards near them! Just disappointing that’s on our competition record now. Will probably give that venue a miss ongoing after that.
