The line had it's problems. Having a few molds for most of the figures, with weird proportions was one of these. The scale didn't fit also. But I understand the appeal.

DC Icons got me into this. I truly miss that line. When McFarlane showed Doomsday and Superman and I looked at the Icons version... It's not a competition.

Can't believe how much better this figures would be if the mcfarlane team just care a little more

that face is terrible but the suit is perfect and yeah he should be smaller, definitely this is my favorite Robin outfit

I was really hoping that he would be better since I'm looking for a Robin to go with my Knightfall Batman. I'll probably still get him but wait for a deal/price drop. This Robin outfit is definitely my favorite. Thanks for the honest reviews as always Anthony

I think a lot of us are in the same boat having wanted a good, smaller Tim Drake Robin that would have fit with Knightfall Batman. As it is, having been on the fence for quite a while, I decided to pass on him, especially after Anthony's review.

Right. Like the ‘Hush’ Superman, I reckon the colours on Robin here are spot on; the greens, reds, and yellows just pop, adding some nice colour variety to a McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse collection. However, the anatomy proportions are hideously egregious. Blimey! Robin is a giant! That lower leg is much too long! And perhaps the most offensive of the lot is the head sculpt. Mister Anthony, thank you for sharing, mate. 👍 Giovanni Marino, M.D.🇬🇧

Back box art looked like his eyes were closed and he was sniffing his cape.

I haven’t purchased any McFarlane figures in a while, the red Azrael was what got me into this line. And that’s probably a good stopping point.

Really like your reviews, I watch most of your Marvel Legends and DC Multiverse ones. However, I've noticed a trend where the final ratings don't seem to fit the rest of what you talk about during the reviews, they always seem a bit too high, and it creates a bit of a disconnect.

Not really. It's a review so talking about everything is necessary. Holding everything against the figure isn't necessary as price, line relativity, and market context factor in.

That head looks like the villain from Lazytown.

he needed more hands, better scaled height and a non drainage pipe for a bo staff. Also, they couldnt have used a glossy or metallic yellow for the belt. The original headsculpt for the red version looks pretty good. looks fine on the shelf,but the knee joints are terrible looking. 90s Tim Drake suit...the best. Tims chest armor is kinda accurate.

McFarlane’s scaling is terrible. It’s sad that his own figures do not even scale in with each other. Especially between his differences licenses.

Tim Drake was supposed to be like, a young adult at most in this era. They should have given him a new body. Sometimes their laziness just betrays the character entirely. If they wanted to make a ripped Tim, they should have given us Red Robin with the cowl. Now that would be a sick ass figure.

I was dying laughing at the thumbnail of this figure. The way they made his lips should be illegal.

it's still the best Robin we've got so far, except for Damian Wayne we can't say the other variants have a great headsculpt either

Can’t wait for mafex to actually make a good Robin. They did Tim dirty with those anime lips.

I got an old dc direct Tim Drake. He’s less possible, basically a 5 maybe 8 poa figure. Can’t pose, but looks waaaay better than this guy. Also scales better with knightfall Batman

We like the colors on this Robin, and this suit is arguably the best for a Robin, but the head sculpt is pretty bad.😂 Oh, and he’s too tall. 😅 Still, it would look great paired with Knightfall Batman.

I think he's wiping his nose with his cape to make sure he got all of the bats out of the bat cave.

The long legs are an issue some action figures suffer from. Characters that are supposed to be a bit shorter end up with long legs for some reason. An early example of this for me is diamond select Deadpool back in the day. Long legs made him tall like the hulk. These companies really have to stop the long leg thing and also t-Rex arms are also the worst on figures.

Hey Anthony, would you reviewing the Page Punchers Aquaman Wave? There are some good looking figures there, and they have more unique sculpts than regular dc multiverse. Love to know your thought.

For me I like Damian’s robin suit cause it got the hood and more modern

i prefer the look of the Urban Legends Robin Tim Drake Robin

I prefer Robin being taller, but generally I prefer taller Robins like Batman Forever and Batman Arkham City/Knight. I think my favorite Robin design has to be his New 52 skin in Arkham Knight.

I picked this figure up last week but don’t really care to have Robin but this one looked really good. Haven’t decided if I want to return so this review is a DEAL BREAKER! No pressure 😂

my theory is that the figures are designed by a team of 5 people, and one of them is an alien in disguise. this part looks good, this part looks good, then totally random, freakish screw up. at least one on every figure.

I need to know why McFarlane continues to put artwork on boxes that for the most part look nothing like the figure? Lol it makes no sense

You certainly give much more leeway for McFarlane compared to Marvel Legends. You usually tear ML's apart for not matching the box art & being in a wrong scale, but for this you say "it's pretty close" (when it's completely off) and "if you don't care about scale it'll be just fine"...? If this same figure was a ML there's no way in hell you'd give it a 7/10.

This figure is cheaper and bigger than Marvel Legends. It used a body that has been used twice as opposed to 200 times. Additionally, this rating is for the McFarlane line. Ratings across lines are not the same since different lines are obviously very different and need to be judged accordingly. Tell me more about how unfair the criticism is though... Seems to me you just don't like that Hasbro makes such bad products that bad products from other companies are still leagues better in comparison.

@@AnthonysCustoms Oh don’t get me wrong, I am no Hasbro defender. I agree with most of what you say about MLs, that’s why I watch your channel. I don’t think the criticism is unfair, but rather inconsistent. But good to know, you’re the only reviewer I follow that reviews lines that differently.

Ugh these DC figures man are questionable I can't stand how the legs are done and the butterfly joints are just useless as heck. I haven't touched a DC figure since I picked up a superman a few months back.

I think these guys are all about quantity and can't ensure the figures have the best detailing and end up with weird/random things that are hard to explain

Why does he look like he's in his 20's and tall and so buff? I was gonna get him, but eh. Mezco will do whenever it's out, til MAFEX makes one.

Obviously Mcfarlane doesn't give a cr@p about scale, with out of scale characters in the same damn line and comedic over sized accessories. Once again, I hope he loses the license, since it is clearly shown he doesn't care for it from looking at these amateur mistakes. Another easy pass.

Man, I love this version of the Robin costume, but this figure just looks like garbage. Looks like I'll be waiting another decade for a better figure incarnation of this costume.

Mcfarlane well make a good figure and give you hope and then totally phone it in on the next one. I still picked this up because yeah a neutral pose can stop save it but like you said, these are action figures.
