Whoa, McFarlane absolutely nailed this figure! This is a definite pick-up for me.

The only thing that is holding this fig back imo is the accessories. The fig could have had 2 fisted hands and 2 flight hands and a flight stand.

They probably didn't do that because the hands on the superboy figure we got before with this body had alot of issues with the hands staying on

I like him more than I thought I would. I do wish for something else to have been done for the shaven part of his head. Looks like the hair on Charlie Brown characters with individual hairs far too spaced out. Love the jacket finish. Would have loved some accessories, like the sunglasses!

just a note - it's actually not based on his 90s look, but rather the current look, which is certainly more of a throwback to his original look than his Teen Titans era look.

It's annoying issue though on Mcfarlane's part since they lazily look at comic art and slap it on their cards for figures but they never match up which is confusing since 80% of their figures the art work on the cards never matches with the action figure design since the action figures would be based on modern looks while the cards have early 90's to 2000's era art of the characters.

I put this dude in my Titans set up and it fits in really nice. Now to find Aqualad!!

His head sculpt makes him look like a 35 year old man lol I've given up hope on this line. It's their senior year in this line and we still don't have a base justice league that even scale with eachother. They still also use really bad ball joints and pegs and that huge diaper. Like they haven't improved with quality or anything. But what bugs me is that none of his figures scale with eachother. He doesn't do villains or other characters. I mean even if he does it's once in a while. It's always batman or joker or superman.

I believe the arms and legs are both from Dawnbreaker Batman. The rest is default.

@@willjudge3534 Exactly that! I made the same one, it's as simple as poping the legs and arms from the dawnbreaker, and poping them back to robin.

The thing that slightly about me is the cards with the actual comic art the figures never match besides that it's a good figure minus of course no extra hands or head sculpts. It would've benefited an extra fist hand and flight hand to match the other one as well an angry head and a one where he's actually wearing sunglasses

Hmm I'm not a fan of the spikes. Think i might have to swap the jacket with the one from 3 Jokers Red Hood. Other than that, pretty sweet looking figure

I can't stand the spikes on the shoulders or the patches on the arms. I get that it's more 90s throwback than actual 90s but it drives me crazy. The original look...while busy with the straps, was simpler with the jacket. Hopefully Todd will redo this figure somewhere down the line.

I was really hoping we would get the version of the figure from the Reign of the Supermen storyline because the overall look of that character is so much better. This modern version seems like a knock-off. Every design element from the hair, to the jacket, to the gloves, and the knee pads just screams bad design. The old design just looks more sleek, stylish, and cool. Personally, I don't think I can get past this ugly modern design so I most likely won't be getting this figure. I hope there is a gold label version which is more accurate to the Reign of the Supermen storyline but most like it is just going to be the same figure with his jacket off. Disappointing.

This look is inspired by his appearances in Young Justice (2019). This look is pretty accurate to his appearance in that run.

Cool Figure but I can't unsee how stupid the black collar is haha does it belong to the jacket or is he wearing a kinky collar or a gimpsuit under that superman shirt? hahaha

If the Kon-EL head sculpt matched the art on the back of the box I wouldn't hesitate to pick this figure up but as it stands I'm going to pass.

Because this design isn’t his 90s suit, it’s his suit from the Young Justice 2019 comic run. That version has beard stubble, no earring, a red and yellow logo and black knee pads. This is not supposed to be the Reign of the Superman version of Superboy. Get with the program man lol

Classic superboy stopped growing early on due to being a clone. This one is to big,..... picked him up yesterday, hes to tall, no muscles..... never muscles from mcfarlane!!!!! Weak legs from knees down. Must be on the stand. Built my own superboy from age of apocalypse wolverine, S.P. head, gunslinger spawn jacket, the size is accurate to a 7inch figure, but mcfarlane just cant make it accurate. " OH, ITS HOW HE IS NOW"..... means jacks#%t!!! This isnt superboy i grew up with!! A- on looks, size & build F+!!!!!!!!!!

this thing is a waste of money considering that its WAY too tall, it has no sunglasses, as usual all the height is in the legs so Mcfarlane can cheap out on material costs, and we all know a MAFEX 90s Superboy is coming, which will make this thing look like a dollar store toy.

@@sirdaveysockrocker Never before have I held a Mafex figure that i felt like justified the 90 dollar price tag. 35 to 40 dollars maybe, I'd probably consider that reasonable, but shelling out double that rate for them is an absolute no-go for me. It's simply a matter of McFarlane's doing just about everything I need them to do, I like the style they do them in, and they won't break the bank.

I really want this figure. As far as the John Kent, NOPE 👎 the figure looks good. But “ and call me homophobic “ I will not buy anything that supports a gay anything.
