Wouldn't have thought of getting a pink chung lee. But for the price of these figures and a couple actually heads.. I'll probably continue with this line when I had no plans of doing so.

Jada have said they are interested in obtaining more Capcom licences. Darkstalkers and the other Street Fighters (Alpha, 3, 5) were among the games they said they'd like to do. I hope they do Resident Evil as well.

That Fei Long has 2 new heads and extra hands and nunchucks fuck yeah this is the way to do “repaints”. God I love Jada best new figure company in America right now hands down. Also the Chun LI shit thank God their prices are perfect. I’m down for all 3 of these that Ken can team up with the evil ryu!

Totally agree about having these color variants having new accessories to draw in folks who have other figures and for them to give us a car to destroy for display purposes. 🚗💥👊

Nice review. Enjoy the weather. I'm in the burbs of Chicago and got hit with 6 inches of wet heavy snow. Spent 2 hours snowblowing. Mcfarlane Toys can keep all their 40 dollar figures.....some people only make 15bucks an hour....so they'd have to work 3 hours for 1 figure to cover the toy and maybe shipping.....too nuts.

Jada Variants are a slippery slope, glad I'm only sticking to the main colors but I think I will get the player 2 chun li for sure.

Jada is nailing it and man I want the Chun-Li variant. I'm not even into variants, but the extra accessories are nice. Maybe one day Jada will release an accessory pack with all the bells and whistles, but until then, I'll get the Chun-Li for the face and effect part. Jada has earned enough good will from me.

I wasn't interested in these at all initially...no good resale possibilty and with things So high priced anyway I've backed Off a lot of collecting.....But these, at their prices, looks good and I just decided I might be getting these just for fun....even with some of the variants like Chung Li. huh.

I've only ever paid $10/figure for basic McFarlane figures. They're glorified kids toys, no paint, no accessories. $40 is hilarious.

McFArlane are usually $20. When Hasbro was raising their price they held their ground. I think it's $40 because of the build a figure. He is counting in the build figure into the price. The build a figure is supposed to be a free bonus for buying all the figures. Not a hidden tax. The only thing McFarlane has going or them is the $20 price tag. Unless it's a mega figure that's not going to fly. No extra heads, hands, flight stand, or accessories. Just hands and a card. I'm disappointed.

His other BAF are 25, Batman TAS BAF are 30. Someone got a response back from McFarlane as to why these are 40 which was because of tooling and production costs for a limited production run on 7 figures. 7 figures because there are 2 Chases as well. That said, I don't support the 40 dollar price tag for each especially this is before you include taxes and shipping

$40 for basic Mcfarlane figures seems a bit high. I have quite a collection of the DC and Warhammer figures. The lower price made the more frustrating limitations of them acceptable. I don't see myself buying more of them unless MCFARLANE makes toys for creature commandos.

More than likely, this BAF wave from Mcfarlane was supposed to be this year's Target BAF wave throughout the year and for whatever reason Target decided at the last minute to not do. One could argue that the inclusion of 2 chase variants means it wasn't meant for Target as the year-long BAF waves in the past haven't had chase variants. However, that Target exclusive Dark Knight Trilogy Bane BAF wave that was Jokerized was essentially an all chase variant wave. So, to see chase variants in BAF waves is not unheard of. Also, it can be said that since chase variants are simply just alternate paint schemes, Mcfarlane may have decided to produce some chase variants for the wave after Target cancelled their interest in it. If we don't see a year-long BAF wave from Target this year, we know that this was meant to be it and the $40 price tag is to recoup losses as much as possible. It could also be that Target just decided right from the beginning that the BAF Monitor wasn't enticing enough to get people to seek out the whole wave and so they passed on it but, production had already begun on it. Target may have requested a different BAF wave and that's what we may see throughout this year. Hell, it could have even been a BAF wave meant for just Amazon or Walmart with the chase variants planned into it from the beginning and then either of them decided to back out at the last minute. So many possibilities that could be the underlying cause. Whatever the case, and even though I was to begin with (and still am) disgusted with this price point, after thinking about it all day I doubt this is an attempt at a cash grab or a test to see if the price point can be raised further or anything like that. It seems most likely that some sort of cancellation occurred with a retailer and that this is just a way to recoup any losses from it. Given that the ship date is in March (which means the figs have been in production for quite some time already) and that the Specter fig is already sold out (which means they aren't making more than one production run), it seems most likely that this is just an attempt to make the best out of a deal gone sour.

McFarlane is the king of clearance, you can what you want for like $10 to $15 eventually. The gold label ones are where you get screwed normally.

Yes, he first appeared in the Animated movie, but Jada Toys don't have the rights to that. Their version of Violent Ken is based on his appearance in the Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers video game.

I came across a mc farlane gold label robin the other day and i picked it up and i was looking closely at it…. The figure looked CHEAP it wasn’t painted well and the head sculpt looked wonky. And now they’re going to be $40😳!BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! No thanks mcfarlane😂

The reason the Infinite Crisis Wave is 40 each is because of tooling and productions cost for a limited run production on 7 figures (BAF and 2 Chases included) This was a response someone got back from McFarlane. All that said, im a McFarlane fan/collector but definitely dont support or like that price point

I like the McFarlane Super Powers because they're cheap and good enough but never got into the mainline other than a few Batman characters. For the SF I think the first date is an order by date and the bottom is the release date? But I'm using Google Translate so... Regardless, I wasn't planning on doing P2 figures but they definitely got me with that P2 Chun Li extra head.

They look cheap af with almost no paint job whatsoever. Especially Kid Flash looks like a lazy a.s prototype with loose diaper, thick rim moon boots and an adult squarehead instead of a juvenile, skinny nerdy one. I started collecting McFarlane with the Black Knight Spawn of the Dark Ages 11 Line, i can not make that quality of back in the day unseen. That cash grab BAF sh.t is a very, very, very far cry from these days and an insult to every faithful McFarlane Collector. Only morons or masochists can not feeling betrayed by that lack of quality and the excess of price quantity! The hike season started with Monolith (+25%), then the Collectors Edition-Line (+50%) and now the Build a figure-line (+60%) and with King Spawn for 50 bucks (what is insanity too) the cash grab path for normal/ deluxe figures is paved. Tough to swallow for a Toddfather fanboy like me but he has officially thrown us under the bus and became a sellout! No toy robin hoodery anymore, just empty words and cash grab. Gold Label just means exclusive to one retailer (Walmart or Target or Amazon, etc.). In this instance these are exclusive to only the Mcfarlane site. Nothing at all special about the figures themselves. Just where they are available for purchase.

Mcfarlanes main selling point was that they were putting out unique sculpts at a competitive price. Now they are just as bad as hasbro. Exact same thing happened to motu origins. When they stopped being 15 bucks I stopped buying

Evil Ryu is supposed to have darker skin, it's intentional, and is not supposed to match the regular Ryu. The p2 version of Ryu was corrected to be closer to how the sprite looks.

The Batman & Robin figures have been Todd’s best figures to date… but they’re like 20-25. I’ll get a Forever line from him if he does it.. but Jada is out here embarrassing Hasbro and Todd. I’ll stick with TMNT NECA.. but all these clowns are doing is making me go full blown Jada fanboy. I wasn’t gonna get the skittles… but son of a bitch they’re gonna make me buy them… The only thing I want Jada to fix is distribution. These figures don’t exist in my Target and employees look at me like I have lobsters crawling out of my ears when I ask them about it. I got mine all on Amazon and BBTS.

Pacifist ken my be the one that eventually *_went home to be a family man_* with Eliza and then she became pregnant. Definitely a far cry from psycho powered up violent ken.

I think Mcfarlane need to be transparent with the situation as to why they had to hike the price up to 40 bucks a figure. There is most likely a reasonable explanation, they just need to let us know. I'm pretty sure this is a one off. Best theory I have is they were Target exclusives until Target pulled out, now McFarlane are pushing the cost to the customer. They could be in very limited quantity so they need to recoup any potential losses. I'm pretty confident this is a one off. Everybody seems to be losing their minds over it so yeah - they need to let us know why
