Wow! You already got Mongul?! The face is rough but it’s a good figure, I agree with the other comment, an accessory of sorts would be nice. By itself it’s a cool fig, I’m going to pass for now but awesome we’re getting more megafigs. I’m still hoping for a classic Darkseid 🤞

I’m sure they’ll do a comic Darkseid, but it won’t be classic, it’ll be some new 52 or rebirth version.

Me too!😀Darkseid will be 8 tall with a flying hoover disc and his teleport mother box traveling to other realms and earth!😱 C'mon Mcfarlane make this a classic darkseid with double jointed elbows and doube jointed knees, to make him ultimate stare down look with facial expression to him.🤨It will be a long wait, if it ever get made?🤔

When will they give mega figs alternate hands? There are plenty of empty space I think, and I think the elbow can have better articulation

They could have better articulation, I don’t really need extra hands myself. They end up in a bag and I never swap them again.

@@dHuntersReviews I personally would love more option, sometimes I like to have characters like bane have fisted hands like punching pose or just standing pose, and some chars like that flash page punchers literally have 2 fist hands in their comic that came with it

Sick review. I recently bought a genestealer so I can try and paint him up! Mcfarlane stuff is a little too large for what I prefer, but I'm really enjoying some of these designs. I'm trying to world build and know nothing about a lot of these toy lines, so it's been fun to just see what's out there and what looks cool haha. I do wish these came with more accessories, but a lot of these seem to be pretty affordable for their size and sculpt. Thanks!

@@dHuntersReviews Yeah sometimes the value proposition feels lacking. Swamp Thing feels like a bargain but then you have Nekron and it’s like… ehhhh. But you can’t argue with their presence and quality.

I can think of a couple accessories he could have come with: a change of heads and hands. A legit angry face would have been great, as well as "choke the life out of you" grippers/fists for both wrists

He looks okay..I’d prefer a stoic looking face over this version. Mongul is generally not a happy guy. I will paint his arm bands silver & purple to look closer to his earlier look. The one accessory he needs is the plant looking thing clalled Black Mercy that he used on Superman. Thanks for the review.

@@2toottoot Black Mercy first appearance was in Superman Annual #11 (1985) in the story called “For The Man Who Has Everything” by writer Alan Moore & artist Dave Gibbons. The story was later adapted into the JLU cartoon. Black Mercy also appeared in episodes of Supergirl & Krypton. Kinda wish it was attached to me so I could just lay down & live out my ultimate fantasy. 😄

I find a lot of cheap wrestling figures, I use a lot of figures, check out a few of my videos, comparisons at the end, lots of regular people/thugs/civilians/etc.

@@dHuntersReviews thats what the fandom believes them to be a representation of them but heres the exact quote this figure is pretty explicitly based on how Ivan Reis drew him in Superman vol.5 (notably issue 8 based on the pant colors) except the gauntlets were silver like the boots. The gauntlets being green only ever happened in the New52 but even then they weren't kryptonite, so maybe it's an homage to that. Going nerd-analysis mode, Mongul doesn't even need kryptonite to fight Superman and give him a good go for it so if he ever did equip himself with it then apparently he's gone full "I'm done fuckin' around" mode. so yeah we think todd was just going with kryptonite gauntlets lol

Amazing figure.... Superb sculpt and paint.... Next on my list. I still don't understand why Mcfarlane doesn't incorporate bicep cuts for the mega figs... He did it for Sabaac so why not the rest? Mind boggling.

Extra hands and an alternate head is accessories that you can always include with a figure. On a side note I know this been kicked thousands of times but he totally dropped the ball on that Solomon Grundy smh. He went back to his first outing with that Devastator who should be way bigger to lol.

Agreed Devestator gets a pass because the megafigures weren’t a thing yet. Grundy does not.

I think the body looks good and the hight is accurate but I don't like his face or his costume or the green braces on his arms they should have used the face and costume of Mongul from the original superman comics from the 90s just my personal opinion.

It's good, but could be better. Not EXACTLY the version I'd want, but not too far off.

Looks cool, but im more just a batman guy so its a pass from me. Todd, if you pay attention to the comment section, please give us a modern comic commissioner gordon and a generic gotham city police officer figure. I know you probably think a gcpd officer would peg warm, but people would buy multiples.

Yes i saw it. Looks great. I have 8 gcpd john blake figures for my 6 inch figs, but really want some to go with my comic 7 inch figs. Im not really a fan of the neca t1000. In my world i have my comic dc multiverse figures and all my civilians are wwe mattel figures. I dont really like mixing and matching too many lines for my toy photography. I have 3 head swapped big boss man figs for gcpd officers at the moment, but would really love mcfarlane to make one.

I’m stock at McFarlane, I paid less than I would’ve at Amazon, but that’s because I got the bundle.

I love the mega figs. I only have Killer Croc but just from that and your reviews I can tell these figures are awesome. I got my Croc from a toy store on vacation over the summer and I only find Titan Joker and Atom Smasher at my local stores and I'm not really interested in them so Croc is the only one I have at the moment.

Is the torso a solid hard piece or does it feel cheap and hollow? I cant stand it when figures are given solid plastic for the arms and legs and then a cheap hollow plastic torso. It just feels like a recipe for disaster for future cracking and splitting apart with continuous posing over time. Great video reviews as always and thank you in advance
