Put the plug-in as an insert on a separate track in your mix like your vocals or put it as an insert on a bus. It’s unusable. On the master it’s fine. On anything else it’s causes latency. On a bus it sounds like a slap echo

@@byus6928 on my bus in Pro Tools it works perfectly fine (unless i disable delay compensation…).

To be able to change the Bias curve in the txt when a node is selected..... Makes it pretty powerful also...... Impressed.

Your rock mix sounds great!!! I never bought Soothe, but this one I might get if the price is right. Thanks for the video.

Do they have a live version tweaked for low CPU usage? Like to place on the input to track with? I bet that be good to add a little on the incoming signal at the recording level. not a lot but to just clean it up a bit, especially in a room not very well treated to remove a bit of mud, etc....

It's not either or but more like both. They sound very different

McDSP have the best customer service I've ever experienced! Great people there that want their customers to be happy with the products.

@@robshrock-shirakbari1862 I'm with you, not understanding why I should update to V7 and pay 30 € / each vst to upgrade for having stuff that other vst have since 2006 ( see the graphic on EQ) and on some they just changed the GUI ... if you're on Mac it can make sense due to M processor... but on windows I'm not seeing why I should spend money ... don't take me wrong i love their plugin , but they are still living in 2003.. their update politics it might be different from Waves , but it's not going too far... that's my 2 cents

Does the side-chain detector utilize the same amount of bands as the main detector? For example, can I use a vocal as a side-chain to dynamically attenuate conflicting spectral bands from another signal/track?

If you use ext sc it will react to the track you're feeding, disregarding completely the track you're applying the process

you moved from pc to mac ? pls do a video about that with thoughts tips and whys as to you moving systems its really important coming from a true soundman unlike tech youtubers

This is my second studio, we have Mac and PC there because it is a commercial facility. And this plugin is Mac only atm

@McDSPTV this plugin seems awesome but isn't available on Windows. Nor does it state anywhere on the email or on the website that I could see that it's Mac only. That's a massive pity. Any plans to release a Windows version?

Download the demo. I haven’t gotten to use it cause I’m not off work yet but I’m gonna compare to soothe with the demo and see if it’s worth buying from there

Soothe tends to overdo and kinda destroys the original sound! You have to be gentle but then you wont solve the problem like other spectral processors do! Me i like ozone spectral shaper! You can over do and still sound transparent! Des-eq is another go to!

The SA-3 has 2,560 samples (58 ms) of latency. While building the plug-in, our engineering team found that this was the lowest amount of latency they could achieve while also getting a great-sounding result out of the plug-in.

Do you know a good free or trial of a mixbus comp and eq for mixing loops and stuff to full track.. and what ratio is optimal.. 2.1 or 10.1 or 4.1

Yea this plug-in causes nothing but a delay in my vocals. Like it slides my vocals forward making them off the beat. Shame. Guess it’s back to soothe

Obviously not the plugin doing it, you either don't have ADC enabled or you're exceeding the limit because your computer is not powerful enough

@@mixbustv what's ADC? I have a M1 max Mac studio. its more than powerful enough. I've messed with all the settings I can think of. never had a plugin do this before. im using in logic. Also noticed when you did the vocal it was solo. No before and after within a mix as an insert on a track. That’s the issue I’m having. Its most def the plug-in.

@@mixbustv just following up it is in fact the plugin. McDSP confirmed it was a known issue with the first version of the plugin. thing is that's the download ink they still have for the demo on their site. I was given the correct download link from them and its fixed now!
