Crispy onions are not used because they are delicious. They come already prepped, in a bag...means no prep time in the kitchen, saves on labour. And they don't require monitoring for quality and freshness...no wastage. They are a cost-saver! No more than that!

Please try Arby's New Cherry BBQ Brisket Sandwich. "Tender beef brisket covered in melty processed Swiss cheese, topped with crispy onions and cherry BBQ sauce. All on crispy red onion, fresh tomato and lettuce. Served on a Brioche bun."

Next time there's a new item with a special sauce that's at the bottom of the burger, can you please separate the bottom part of the bun so we can see how much sauce you got? It doesn't look like you got enough from what I could see, but it's hard to tell.

The crispy onions tasted good on mine! The sauce was interesting thankfully they didn't put too much on it. I give it a 7/10

My favorite burger at McDonald's is a double Quarter Pounder with extra onions. They make it fresh just for me and it's always hot and juicy.

i still miss the bbq angus beef burger, it was discontinued ever since the start of covid they angus beef was harder to receive since the pandemic made everything harder to ship around. it was my favourite burger to get at mcdonalds, and now i dont even eat there anymore

You should educate yourself with facts, inflation soared due to provincial governments in Canada and governors in America rushing reopening while we were still in a serious situation with covid. Reopening quickly forced businesses that were short staffed due to covid and who slowed production due to have to deal with massive surge in customers again upon reopening. A demand they could not meet which resulted in prices having to go up. In Saskatchewan, reopening things were rushed by Alberta and Saskatchewan mainly, by Jason Kenney and Scott Moe, businesses weren't ready, it put on demand on things that just weren't there so prices went up. States like Florida, Texas, etc also rushes reopening resulting in same thing, these things affected pressure on global supply. Before they could recover Putin attacked Ukraine and OPEC has also slowed oil barrel production intentionally to cause oil prices to soar. OPEC, which is led by Russia and Saudi Arabia have decided to keep production low continuing to affect prices.

I had the masala one today - they are actually pretty good

I was right after all...they toss the bits into the box, shake and serve. And it doesn't matter if they are busy or not...place is empty, you still get a quarter pounder tossed "salad".

The Crispy Onion Quarter Pounder strikes agian! I actually thought this was one of the better ones, but it's still not great and way over priced.

They are NOT a flavourful addition...they are a cost-saving measure.

It's a Royal with sour ranch, I wasn't a big fan of the sauce, and it was covered in it. Had to hose down the beard afterward.

I refuse to use the kiosks because my local McDonalds doesn’t clean them regularly. Someone once picked their nose and wiped it on the screen and I almost touch it🤢 From that day on I’ve just waiting in line 😂 I’m probably being dramatic but it’s kind of gross

That's horrible.

Tried it. Agreed with you on everything but the crispy onions which I don’t mind. The sauce was honestly tasteless and added nothing. Maybe a small hint of Parmesan. When will they stop introducing “new items” that are just quarter pounders with crispy onions, maybe a bacon, maybe lettuce and then a sauce???

Damn this is the quarter/royal month! #fcrispyonions Edit: mcdonald used to be the king of new items. Yeah. A new sauce don't make something new. It's like lays with their reused flavour from their other brand. Jeez. I miss the 2000's fast food era.

I don’t mind crispy onions but this particular burger doesn’t seem like they’d go well with it. I don’t think even regular onion slices would go well with it. And over $9.00 CAD, no thanks. That’s like $7.00 USD and for a McDonald’s burger? Yeah I’d pass. I think $6.00 USD is ridiculous for that burger. McDonald’s is just getting crazy.

I think he did it. I tried it. Asked for freshly prepared, still got a lukewarm "leftover" that wouldn't even melt the cheese. it was a 4.5 at best.

McD's is straight up garbage these days, zero innovation, work with the same old crap just mix up ingredients up once and awhile. The food quality is also poor compared to most other fast food. I still think the breakfast menu is "ok".
