Yes Annabelle is a star 🤩 and the future sewist in the family. She is so excited about sewing and wants to be on my channel sewing with me. Hopefully next summer. Annabelle and the other kids are so cute, rooting you on! The strawberry dress came out so nice, and I love the map shirt! Tom knows how to pick that fabric! You chose some lovely patterns at JoAnn's. I picked up that knotted front shirt pattern last month, I think. I don't know when I'll make it, but at least I'll have it available whenever it is! I'm glad you had a great time with your friends and family. Being with our loved ones is always so good for the soul! :D

Lara, It was definitely worth the 2 day drive up and 2 day drive back! The kids are great and Annabelle is our future sewist. She can thread all my machines. Her favorite is my serger. I'm looking at that Butterick twist front top pattern right now and I might cut it out this month. Have a great week!

Grace, I always love your videos. You got some beautiful patterns. My grandmother used to tell me how they had made their own featherbeds when she was a child. She mentioned ticking fabric. I thought for sure you were going to say you went to Fabric Mart Fabrics when you went to PA. We went in May for my bday present and I had to laugh after we got the invoice in the mail for the toll roads - $82.00!! I told my husband I haven’t ordered online because I didn’t want to pay the $9.99 shipping and instead I paid $82 ha ha

Tina, that's a funny story 🤣🤣 but it's not!!! Yes, we are still waiting for our toll bill to come in the mail! Yikes.😲 This trip was tight so we didn't have time to go to Fabric Mart but I got to go to my old JoAnn's. I lived EXACTLY 4 miles from door to door when I lived in PA. I miss that. Anytime I ran out of something or needed something I could just hop in my car and be there in 10 mins. Now I live 40 minutes away and only go out there twice a month here in FL! Annabelle is so excited about sewing. She can thread all my machines. She's done embroidery jewelry too and her favorite machine is the serger! Thanks for watching!! 🥰

Karon, that JoAnn’s is so TINY but never lacks for anything, it’s clean, organized and has a great staff. I lived dangerously too close to that store. EXACTLY 4 miles away!!!! LOL Literally a 10 min. drive if I didn’t hit any lights. Now I live 40 minutes away and I only go twice a month here in Florida. It's fun making jewelry on the embroidery machine. Ticking is the material like they used on pillows, such as the ones holding in the feather pillows. Then you put your pillowcases on top of it, if you remember seeing it at your grandmothers (I do). I love M8142! I have the first apron pattern, I was thinking about Christmas gifts when I got it. It seems like a good year for handmade Christmas gifts. I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip.

Sirena, I found a pillow with blue stripe ticking fabric at Walmart. It's not made with feathers but it still reminds me of the pillows I grew up with. I bought it today and I'll show it on my next video!

What a fun video, Grace! 🥰 I love your M6960 tank top made with the gifted pretty yellow lace (?) fabric. Was wondering if you had lined it since there was no hint of your bra or the straps. Great choice of lining fabric color. Always helpful to see a pattern made up as it is one I picked up in one of JoAnn's McCall's pattern sales also. Yes Michelle, I was surprised at how the armhole came out so snug. Still comfortable, but snug. I generally have larger openings too! Annabelle is most definitely interested in sewing. I just picked some up ticking last weekend at Hobby Lobby! There are 2 kinds. One that is kind of a duck cloth made for bags, upholstery and curtains and one made of a softer cotton made for apparel. Thanks for watching and commenting.
