This whole situation goes back to the care takers. It's stigmisation in the first place that drove him into sugar mummies. Children need more than a shelter and food. They need love, care, understanding and alot more. So, being reminded all along that you are a murderer is so depressing and heart wrenching. Be blessed young man and that lady will have to pay one day or her kids will have to pay on her behalf that's if she has any.
