1: Overview: MBBS in Nepal is of 4.5 years course and one year internship. As per the NMC guidelines it follows all the rules and offers the same education pattern as in India. The Colleges are WHO listed and NMC approved. The faculty is highly qualified and helps students gain the right experience and knowledge. All the colleges in Nepal have their own hospitals and provide great hands-on experience. As the patient flow is very high in the hospitals. The climate of Nepal is the same as that of India due to which the diseases in India and Nepal are exactly the same.
2: Entry Requirements: Below are the entry requirements:
1: Students must be NEET qualified with general category cut off, in case you are thinking about MBBS in Nepal without NEET that is not a possibility at all.
2: Students must have 50% in Physics, Chem, Biology in class 12th.
3: MEC Exam: This is optional exam, in case you want to take admission in Chitwan medical college Bharatpur, Manipal college of medical sciences Pokhara and many more MEC is not required but in case you want to get into colleges like bp Koirala medical college Nepal , then this exam is mandatory.
There is a huge list of good private colleges in Nepal for which the MEC exam is not required.
4: Fee Structure: MBBS in Nepal fees are a bit higher when compared to other colleges and universities abroad but it's all worth it. MBBS Nepal direct admission fees for seat booking is around 5 lacs and total MBBS Nepal fee structure comes out to be around 50 to 60 Lacs INR including tuition fee , hostel fee , Mess charges , Security Charges and all other courses.
MBBS in Nepal for Indian student’s fees is same as that for local students and other international students there is no fee difference based on nationality.
5: Infrastructure: As Nepal has a shortage of flat surfaces as it has mountain terrain so the colleges do not have huge infrastructure but yes it is decent enough for a medical college and their hospitals. Colleges have attached hospitals for hands- on practice.
The recommendation is to choose Kathmandu or nearby areas as it has got better infrastructure when compared to other areas.
Hostels are also well built and well maintained by the colleges themselves and they provide Double and triple sharing hostel facility on the first come first serve basis.
