Mam does pgdm are not based on updated curriculum and thus more practical based... where as mba are traditional University syllabus going on... without much updates please review my confusion mam.....

That's right, because PGDM colleges are regulated by AICTE and not UGC thus get more autonomy/ freedom to design curriculum but at the same time ur PGDM college should be AIU approved to get you MBA equivalency when u work in abroad or MNC. Hope it was helpful 👍

Hello Disha, I will have to understand your profile first before suggesting any college, u can share ur academic profile as well as entrance score also if u are keeping any colleges option in mind.

Hi mam, i have a work exp on 3 years i am planning to go for PGDM /MBA i have not given any entrance but IBS mumbai is offering PGPM degree and they have said said its UGC approved and equivalent to MBA, suppose in future if want to move broad by doing PR their criteria will be to have a master’s degree, please help me PGPM degree can be considered as master’s?

Hello Punyay, Unfortunately IBS- PGPM campuses are neither UGC approved nor AICTE so it might bring difficulty in future. Also please don't worry about entrance exam as their are lot of other colleges of same league which accept profile based shortlisting or no cutoffs of entrance exams so irrespective of what you score in Feb MAT or cmat you can still go for it.

I got a call from IBS Mumbai, the said its UGC approved, i am completely clueless now i don’t understand whom to trust, Could you please help with couple of collage’s name in mumbai you accept application by internal collage aptitude test’s , GD and PI round

I understand, please don't trust anyone just go by written proofs, No one can be UGC approved without being a University themselves. Please check your college website or UGC website directly to get complete list of approved Universities in our country.

Hi mam, i did some research from my end and got to know that IBS mumbai is offering PGPM which is not registered UGC/AICTC approved BECAUSE it’s a certification programme but after the passing out they will give a MBA degree from IBS Hyderabad which is UGC registered, should i go from IBS Hyderabad or i should study from IBS mumbai by taking 2 certificate 1) PGPM and 2) MBA(Hyderabad) while being in mumbai, please help i am clueless now

As far as I know when they give you IBS Hyderabad degree along side your PGPM then it is a distance MBA degree from IBS Hyderabad and regular PGPM from IBS Mumbai. But when u go and study in IBS Hyderabad then it's a regular MBA degree so if you find ROI is good enough to study in IBS Hyderabad then u can go for it as Hyderabad one is too expensive then Mumbai.

I am sorry to disappoint you, any college is good or bad depends on what is the student profile and which college can fetch the best results for that kind of profile.. please speak to atleast 5 Alumni of the college you are considering and must check AIU equivalency for PGDMs Rest u can use whatsapp link to share ur complete profile

As they are not approved by UGC/ AICTE, so I am skeptical about PGPM they offer..you should keep few more options in hand. All the Best!
