This will be the most comprehensive ranking of the top 20 MBA programs that you will ever find on the internet. I say that, because this tier list is a sort of meta study (or really just an average) of the most reputable financial publications that are talking about business schools. And there were 2 really valuable takeaways from this project that I will cover later on in this video. The list averages the rankings from Bloomberg, U.S. News, Fortune, and Forbes, then takes some qualitative factors into account, to give us a true top 10 and top 20 MBA program tier list.

It's important to note this is a list of the best MBAs for finance careers. There are some other reasons to pursue an MBA other than working in the investing industry, and for those reasons there may be some different relevant factors that would cause you to rate the schools differently. For example, the best MBA programs for supply chain management. But again, this ranking list is simply the best MBAs programs for those who want to work in finance.
If you have an idea of something you want me to cover in depth, please let me know because I take your requests seriously. Will be back with more CFA Exam tips in a couple of weeks so please submit more questions you would like to hear answered. Love you all!

Historical rankings are more important for MBAs as you are leveraging networks in business and career outcomes. year to year rankings matter much less. Those plugged into MBAs would say 1) HSW (undisputed heavyweights) 2) Booth, Kellogg, CBS, Sloan (M7) 3) Haas, Tuck, Darden (T10) 4) etc

I agree with Booth initiating the S list. And Stanford following up, makes sense as well. And while I think H is an S-lister, (if we stick to the methodology you outlined) it is understandable that it is an A for this one because of the methodology and the way it is ranked by US News. Same sentiment with Wharton. All rankings are flawed but there may be some grain of truth to them that is actionable for W and H...

33% of the public company CEO are from Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, and Penn Wharton. A lot of their graduates also became successful entrepreneurs. It shows you how distinct these three programs are. Unfortunately, the quantitative ranking that are being referenced in this video took different factors into consideration to deviate from the norms (outcome and reward). If a candidate got admitted by Booth and Harvard Business School and chose the former program, even because of a big merit based scholarship, that candidate is not making a good decision, which is essential from getting an MBA.

No, I'm not going to do an MBA. And that is a good question. Top 10 MBA is definitely more valuable on a resume than the CFA. But top 20 MBA is a closer call. I think the top 20 MBA still wins.

most T15 schools don't allow for online options that's one of the reasons why (maybe hybrid with executive options). Plus, online rankings don't really mean anything these days as it's based on some arbitrary metrics. Main thing is to connect with previous alumni, get their feedback on the program to see if it fits with your expectations or raises any red flags
