Things are definitely changing. I’m from a small town that’s been historically norteno for decades. In the last few years the sureños have been moving in and there’s been relatively little to no violence. They’re just letting the sureños move in uncontested. Im confused as hell.

As someone born and raised in Easlos we have for the most part stayed true to the Chicano and Mexican ways in how we talk and dress. Nobody in Easlos uses the “N” word and we take pride in sticking with our cultura. Having been up north from Delano where Norte starts up to Frisco, Sacramento, and Oakland and it was like a twilite zone episode in how the raza talks and acts up there. Me and a couple of homies got jumped in Deleno, on another incident when we got jumped was in Oakland, and we got jumped near Fresno driving back. In 2 cases we strapped up and handled business , and the other one we got busted. In all 3 cases it was over hynas. And it was a trip seeing how Nortenos dressed and acted and how the hynas acted towards us, us down in the south respect everybody and only trip when foos show no respect and called us the “N” word when they talked.
