Mazda RX7 Spirit R build ep. 2 | fullBOOST
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Previously on the RX-7 Spirit R build. We caught up with Promaz Automotive who had stripped the 13B engine, machined and ported it and then reassembled it for a new bridge-port pulse. In this instalment the team will get it up and running and onto the dyno.

The more I listen to Simon and view his work the more I’m keen to freight my car to ProMaz. Great vid gents.
I could watch these promaz videos till they put me in a 6x2 and dump me in a hole at springvale cem . And im a die hard aspirated small block mopar guy . Thanks boys keep em coming.
Thats a nice FD R and great 13b. I need that in my life 👍🤙
Allways good to watch a artisan at work
this thing is beautiful
Really enjoying the vids. Great to hear from a master of his trade who obviously has a lot of knowledge and is willing to explain it! I know not much about rotaries, but would listen to this chap do a tech talk!
Yes we need a lot more FD content
Very nice, good video, easy to watch and no rubbish talk.
One of my favorite rotary shop 🙌 🔥
Great video Simon is good at explaining all of the details about rotary’s and the build of the car 👍🤙
500 WHP in an RX7 must feel bonkers! I felt a 300 HP RX8 and I was scared shitless.
That’s just about the perfect street FD ❤
I"m loving these vids ,but mostly more and more these incredible 13B rotary engines..they are ,pieces of art...
Another great vid boys 👌That thing looks and sounds rad. Cant wait for the drive and owners perspective
500hp is pretty much spot on for a street car 👌

ohh man i felt my day is completed thankyou mate.
i want a build series of that white R100 on the background
great build, good power on that boost too
awesome content guys! luv these kind of videos! could listen to Simon talking bout rotas for days
Hey FullBoost, I didn't understand the bit at @3:44.. rotarys flow way more (pulse per cycle etc) though he mentioned because of that pistons can make more power... if a turbo spins more on rotary shouldn't it make more power... you get the picture. Appreciate the explanation - cheers :)

The rotary has 3 ignition events per crank revolution not 1, resulting in high back pressure, hence why they all run large turbos to make any power.
The dream !!!
Beautiful 👌👍🍺
She's no $2k Green Top Barra that's for sure 🧐
Rx7 s8 is on my bucket list
thankyou
Hell yeah
Nice car
Dream car
I could sit here all day and listern to this fella talk about these cars gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that Ian genuinely learning something pls more of this lads. Many thanks from Sid and the sunny (ish) UK 👍👊✌😎
Can’t wait to see the next one! Love the pro maz guy, u guys colab with some good ppl
Promaz: How much do you want to spend? Owner: YES
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This would be considered a pretty heavy modded FD. Not sure if I would do this to a Spirit R. Granted, there are lads out there who’ve done it. Personally though, I wouldn’t have gone that crazy. Especially if it’s going to live life on the street primarily. Kudos to the shop though. Well put together! Keep up the great work!👏🏻😎

There are enough museum pieces. Cars are built to be driven. Personalized if you like or not leave it alone.
That number plate is also worth a fair chunk of change 😳

Countach and early 911s use a similar clutch set up
Fueltech everywhere
Better than the Rexy. 🌮🍻
what exhaust housing did he end up going?
What kind of air temps was that seeing peak ?

Really nice little car..I wonder is that water meth injection system "engineered".
Great build on a spirit r. Any 100-200kph dragy gps runs done yet? Hopefully thats coming next episode?!

Take it “to the track”
Do you know why tuned roundabouts are fast? The power is of course small and light anyway Since the engine is light, the body can also be thoroughly reduced in weight. The lightweight body covers the lack of torque peculiar to rotary and excels in acceleration. Movement in corners is sharp and brakes work well I don't care about that. The most important thing is only one thing It's the feeling of choosing a tuned roundabout for a machine that runs with its life on the line.
My 97 Camaro has a pull type clutch. They make kits to convert but it's pointless in my scenario. a pull type has 15% more clamping force than an equal sized push type simply by design. Sometimes progress isn't actually any better lol.
@dj4monie

Clamping force isn't as important if it automatically blazes the tires.
@michaelallen2501

@@dj4monie this is true. But so many people want to run away from a perfectly good design simply because they've been told to. Xclutch makes a killer pull type setup.
dont you need the single turbo engine engineer certified for legal Melbourne street drive car?
@fullboost
Жыл бұрын
You need that to do just about anything to your car here.
All of that and no in car ride at the end, anti climax...

Good but why not semi pp turbo port? Better reliability..
@fullboost
Жыл бұрын
You don't need that for the goals of this car.
@joshbrookes6439

Get ya hand off it bro, better reliability pffft. If you watched the entire video you'd have heard the owner wanted the stable Bridgeport Pulse. If you're a real Rotor guy you already know a Semi PP pulse is erratic at best, but its the more reliability comment that spins me out, WhereTF did you pull that from? And for the record a Promaz built and tuned engine packages are some the most reliable Rotary engines you'll find anywhere in World. Facts.
Why does the YT host keep interrupting the intelligent shop owner? Shut up and let the expert talk, especially when you’re asking a question.
