I know this is an old video, but wanted you to know you are a Lifesaver with your videos! I am a single mom, that has learned to be pretty handy to save money. I own a CX-7 and over the past couple of years your videos have allowed me to save Thousands by changing the little things like oil and filters, but also window regulators, brakes with calipers and rotors, sensors and more. This weekend I am tackling replacing the headlight assembly and rear bumper cover, as the vehicle is being passed down to my daughter when she gets her license in a couple of weeks. Thank you for the time you put into these!

Thank you so much for this, saved me over $700. Repair shops wanted to charge $1000+ to replace the headlight assembly after a bulb wiggled loose and melted part of the housing and the car failed inspection. Found an aftermarket headlight assembly and replaced it myself.

I just removed the top bolts and pulled the whole bar forward to access the bolts on the headlight housing. Took all of 20 minutes. On an Audi it took two grown men with experience working on cars 3 full days to change the bumper.

@@AJ-zv9tn Yes this is works, you don't have to remove the bottom clips/screws, only the upper and the side(wheel arch) of them. Then you can pull outside the plastic cover a liittle bit for bottom headlights screws clearance.

And all the different $5 clips and fasteners. What a lame design to remove the cover.

I have a 2007 CX7 and I thank you so much for every video you have put out for different projects and works to do on it. Will I be able to replace non HID Head Light (all head lamp) with original mazda HID Head lights for the same year as mine with out any mayor work? wiring, any other costume work that you know of that I have to get involve on it? Or do you know any web page that has a procedure on this matter? Thank you and I do appreciate your work.

Can I buy an halogen lights and just replaced the old regular headlights or I need to buy the whole kit lamps?

Do you know if the 07-09 headlights are also compatible with the 10-12 model years after the facelift?

This is similar for 2008 Mazda CX-9?

I have a question. My brother drives a Mazda cx 7 year 2009. Both headlights just went out. Is it possible only the bulbs need to be replaced or could it be the wiring issue? I just wanna know how he can save the most money getting it fixed

Can I put a headlight from a cx7 into a cx9? They look absolutely the same.

The cx7 headlight has a large reflector for the high beam, making it longer than the cx9 headlight. Sorry, it cannot work. I just sanded my wifes cx7 headlight with 550 then 1200 (wet sand), used drill buffer with auto compound and then meguiars plastix and it became new again. I then sealed with meguiars spray on headlight protectant. Good luck

You need your workshop, to do a tracking on the wheels, to solve your problem.

The first clip is actually pretty easy to remove.it work juz like wall plug.u juz need to pull out the center nail with finger nail it will come out perfectly

For some reason i can't remove the 10mm screw 😢

Terrible design. Got a close up but can’t see where to post a picture in the comments. To release the “clip” on a 2010, you have to push it in towards the light and then down.

Fyi you don't have to completely remove the bumper.

I'm all for not removing the bumper. I'm not super savy on this stuff though. Care to explain how to change it WITHOUT removing the bumper?

One of the worst Japanese cars ever made. Customer will always scream when he/she found out the cost to replace the headlight assy.

This was God awful to watch. That ape not knowing how to remove bumper clips and trying to rip them off with the wrong tool, was cringe worthy.
