Nice work guys! I just did my own personal CX30 a few weeks back, I added PPF to the mix though. A great car to work on, the paint was really responsive!

I have a 2021 cx30 in jet black. It has similar micro scratches on it. I have sold my polishing equipment when I moved overseas but I want to buy more and wash, clay, correct and seal. I was using Wolfgang's and Pinnacle products before but my other car was red not black. I'm not thinking I would need an aggressive compound since the car is only 2 months old. Should I use something different on black paint? Also I've never done ceramic but definitely will this time because black is a bitch to keep clean and the hydrophobic properties will be great for a quick rinse

I wouldn't say that black paint would need any special treatment.Since it's a new car I would start with something mild maybe rupes yellow pad and medium to fine polish (that is usually my to go one-step combo). As I can see jet black is none metallic? If so, flat black paint usually has a tendency to be on the softer side so refining might be needed. As for the ceramics go for it ! IMO the cheapest ceramic out there ( of any reputable brand not the eBay ones) beats any sealant- wax on longevity and water behavior.

@@maxvisionautodetailing it's colour is jet black mica. Since I've never done ceramic I assume I correct, then ceramic then sealer?

Yes correct- (refine if needed) wipe the surface down with ipa (isopropyl alcohol ) mix or a ready to use panel wipe from carpro, gyeon, koch chemie etc( much less fuss tbh) the sealer part depends on what kind of ceramic system you use carpro for example does suggest the application of Reload(sealant) on top of Cquartz UK 3.0. IMO go with a ceramic that has loads of information on KZread do your homework and go for it my tip for you is take your time, work small sections use clean good quality microfiber towels every few panel's and be thorough when wiping to avoid high spots.

I don't know much about painting, but do ceramic coating really Streghten the painting? because men is the Mazda painting easy to scratch, it's really thin at least on my the CX-30.

Really depends on the brand of ceramic coating. A good quality ceramic coating will definitely make paint more resistant to micromaring tiny scratches that you can induce from improper washing. It won't protect from heavy scratches tree branches or something worse though .

It appears that certain Mazda colors are easier to scratch than others. The Soul Red gets mentioned repeatedly. I have the same color in the video, mica blue, and I don't find that it scratches easily, I bought the CX-30 last winter and the ceramic coating has held up to my expectations. I'll re-apply in the Spring.

@@maxvisionautodetailing The dealer, against my wishes, put a spray wax on the vehicle. To counter this, I did a fine clay bar and finishing polish followed by two coats of Turtle wax hybrid solutions. Every month of so, I use a topper solution consisting of 50% Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash and 50% Sonax brilliant shine detail spray. The Sonax is an excellent topper but it doesn't apply easily by itself. Mixing it with the Wolfgang makes the application easy while still getting all the benefits of the Sonax.

Oh I see...so it's not really a ceramic more like a spray sealant.Get your hands on some gtechniq crystal serum & exo v4 top stuff will last two years and more with ease.
