Maybe is a dumb question but the shock absorbers are the same for the fiesta and Mazda 2? I have a hard time finding them for the Mazda 2 but plenty for the fiesta

I do like that spring compressor.... I want to buy the OTC strut tamer but I just don't do enough suspension work to justify it....( yet ) 👍👍👍

Great Vid Dave, thanks for tips, some of which i already use but some new as well. What torque setting would you use for the lower absorber bolts?
@davesterl

No idea on exact torque for those bolts. Prob about 100nm. As an old instructor of mine once said 'tights tight'

My fiancé has the exact same car and her rear tires lean inward . Not sure if I have to replace the whole torsion beam suspension in the back or what I could do to straighten the wheels out. The tire thread wastes unevenly and have to constantly buy new ones . Any suggestions ?

My Mazda 2 feels like ive driven over a cinder block on the left side whenever i go over a pot hole.. It bangs and shakes so much.. do you think this could be the issue?

Hello, what size of tools are you using, is it 13 mm on the top and 17mm on the bottom?

Unrelated for me as I think the springs are in good condition on our mazda 2. Would it be stupid idea to undo the shock and lower the jack enough to place the spring (without it being compressed) in place then slowly raise the jack so you could secure the shock back in place? Assuming there's a risk of it slipping out of place and back firing into the face! I'll be following your excellent video to replace the shocks though! Thanks very much!

Prob not enough clearance but you could try undoing both shocks with two jacks. When your lowering be sure not to strain brake hoses or abs wires. Glad u like the video. Cheers dave
