Mazama Campground / Crater Lake National Park / A Campground Fav!
Mazama Village Campground in Crater Lake National Park is a new campground favorite! A great place to base from while exploring the park and simply a beautiful, tree filled campground. Lots of nearby hiking, beautiful views and nice campsites.

Thanks for stopping by! This is a super old video (I've come a long way) and we are now full time in our Grand Design Imagine XLS 17MKE and have traveled through over 35 states! For something newer, check out: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmis3LKjgqasdNY.html

It was great! We enjoyed using this as a base to see Crater Lake. And it snowed on us too :)
Lovely. ...would have loved to live permanently in such beautiful wooded landscape.

It certainly was beautiful, but too cold for the humans. Black Labrador loved the cold however! :)
Always the BEST!

It really is - lots of nice sites, great walking trail and lots of friendly people!
Ken and I are headed north to Mt Hood area but may go here later this summer. As always, great info... We are still working on ideas for the tagging video...most of our pix are at home so we’ll improvise and just be our goofy selves🤠🙃 Thanks again for including us!🌻

Jane: Life with Ken and Jane have you been to Crater Lake? It is awe inspiring! The most amazing blue. We loved this campground but had quite a surprise when we woke up the second morning... We will be in Oregon late summer - looking forward to seeing where all you go!
You sound like a sweet person. We visited Crater Lake for the first time 2 weeks ago and we loved it.

Thanks - this one is good as it is within the park. Our favorite a bit outside the park is Farewell Bend - it is gorgeous! It is set alongside the Rogue River: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i41kmK-sdbvFZ9I.html

Nice! Thank you - this video is an oldie. Great place!
Do you use the bear boxes?
@TravelSmallLiveBig

No - we have a diamond plate hard cover on the back of the truck. Our food is either in the back in large plastic boxes or in the trailer. We do have pepper spray and bear spray though!
Do you have internet at the camp grounds?

We did not have cell service at the camp site - we walked along the trail towards the East and were able to get service. It’s really spotty up in the mountains!

@@anushareddy9590 we had our dog with us so never went inside the lodge. I would assume they had it, as many places like that do. Sorry I’m not more help on that. It sure was beautiful there though!

@@anushareddy9590 absolutely! If you are in that area and have extra time to explore - some of our favorites are (and I have videos in these): Farewell Bend Campground, what I called “waterfall row” above Diamond Lake, The Rogue River Gorge and of course what to see at Crater Lake. This whole area is AMAZING!
Funny thing all I noticed is all those dead trees. I wonder why that is?

Hi Liz ~ that is funny! I had to watch it again to see, but they still didn't stand out to me. They may have a bark beetle problem in the area, not sure. I just know we loved it there! It snowed on us too... not sure if you saw that one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kamFyqOmlbm3hdI.html Thanks for watching!
