Still can’t get our agitator out. We tried several ideas from different videos, none worked. It was beginning to break, so I stopped and put the washer back where it goes. I left the nut off, so maybe the vibration of running the machine will loosen it.

we’re you replacing the agitator because it was making a really bad grinding noise? mine is the same washer making an awful noise so i was thinking it might be the agitator

Ours did have a grinding noise when changing cycles. But it was not moving at all. You could not hear any water moving while the machine was running. These steps still work for changing the agitator. But it did not fix our issue it was deeper into the machine. We ended up getting new washer. However if you do order a new agitator/wash plate make sure to get the try and return insurance that way if it does not fix your machine you can still return the part. Hope this helps have a great day!
