I love the bed frame, I have used bed frame for many projects! Cheap to free with almost endless applications for the creative mind. Great job repurposing materials! Classy looking cart!

I love the way you repurposed anything you could find, in order to resurrect this early style design using the old materials the old ways. It's just beautiful, man - Now I want to build a canvas - bodied car, in that same old speedster style. Keep going, Bro- This is great work -

The repurposing you've done on this cart is terrific! Aluminum ladders with their tapers ( I assume step ladders??) is just awesome! Got a bunch of old BMW bits that I'd love to make into a cart. Now to search for a couple of ladders....

Haha!! I actually left a few of the steps in the ladders!! The structure is super strong. I had the 6" ladder in my back yard and bought the 10" one for $20 off Facebook Marketplace!! I love the cart body taper because it is refreshing r To look at after too many have been made a perfect rectangles!!

Your CK is a thoroughgoing manifestation of the 'use what is at hand' spirit of cycle kart building. Brilliant. For some reason, the sewing machine part captured my heart. Well, that and the frame. Great project, entertaining walkaround. May you inspire hundreds more who are hovering on the fringe of this enchanting international hobby.

Just go for it!!! This is the first thing that is drivable that I have ever made!!! You have to learn by doing!!! If you are lucky there might be cyclekart enthusiasts in your area who can help get you started!!

@tripsofjacks Unfortunately I've lost nearly everything I own twice in less than 2 years. Now I'm 31 and working 40 hours for $250 a week. So dreams will remain just dreams

I live in Mesa Arizona but grew up near Durango Colorado and go back every year for a family reunion and vacation and I actually got the idea to build a gocart after a drive we took up a dirt road. When I started googling ideas I discovered cyclekarts!! I contacted the group that meets in Phoenix just 30 minutes away and they invited me to come see their cars. They let me take pictures and measurements. I filled a notebook with do's and don'ts they had learned along the way and from there I was hooked!!! Had to pay for two weddings this year so the build had to be cheap!! If you don't have one you should build one!!!

OMG!! I am building a replica of the original Morgan RIP. I am using an opposed twin aircraft engine in the front. I am going to use wood over steel and then have ceconite over the frame. We need to stay in touch.. I am in Pennsylvania. I am working on a Pembleton right now with a BMW R-100. I will be starting my KZread channel with the build of the RIP...

I'm very interested in your build!! This is the first drivable thing I have ever built but I enjoyed it so much that I have thought it might be cool to build a full size car that I could drive. All I went off was photos I could find online. Do you have measurements? I will be posting another video soon with a total reboot of the front end. I removed the cast iron Maytag engine and replaced it with a faux v-twin engine that looks pretty freaking awesome!!
