First time it happened: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoeozNlmktffcqg.html (Nov 25, 2020)

in the back of the control panel where the wires plug in there are 4 small rectangular contacts, I cleaned them with a q tip and rubbing alcohol and mine started working again, but only lasted another month , now I can get it to power on but it will not start when I push the start button

Maybe try the touch panel.

Having a very similar problem with mine is how I ended up here. Mine was purchased in Oct 2018, barely over 3 years old. I spoke with Maytag direct today and they could offer no help whatsoever except to say call a serviceman and have it diagnosed. I've already spent $250 on a control panel which did not fix the problem, the main control board is another $200. Of course, these being electronic items, they are non-returnable. I'm just shocked that Maytag could not offer any help at all. Last Maytag product I'll own.............

Oh, my gosh! Sorry to hear that. I feel you! Well… the third time ours won’t turn on, it’s totally dead. My dad opened it up again, but saw no sign of life. I posted a new video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZZ3xcOwmtfHoto.html … we bought another brand.

Same here - purchased ours in 2019. Service dude coming tomorrow. TBH, I hope it IS something big like a control board so I can cut my losses and get a Speed Queen. I am done with these "disposable" washers.

I bought mine the same as this one in 2018 and today just in nowhere I heard mashing is it working by itself, now I can't turn it on at all I'm so disappointed with the quality.

I will never buy another maytag washer. I hate having to fix it because it honestly never did a very good job to begin with!

Same here! It’s still working as of now so once it’s really dead, we’re buying another brand.

My 3 year warranty just expired 3 months ago and now it won’t power on.

Oh, sorry to hear that. Ours has been working again. Try to unplug it for a few hours then try again. If it doesn’t work, you may have to open it up.
