What i like about Mayor Isko is that he is a "Public Servant" and not a Politician.

Mayor Isko, you don't have any idea kung ilang Milliong Pilipino ang na iispire mo. I will never get tired of watching you, listening, and taking moral lessons in life from you. I truly admire this guy. He's so humble and a true leader. Keep it up Mayor!

What's admirable about this man is that he is not ashamed of his background and shortcomings AND he did not allow those to stop him from becoming a better person AND equipping himself with the knowledge and tools that he needs in the career path that he has chosen in life. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that this man has immensely improved his communication skills (moreso in English, I suppose) and is much more articulate now than he ever was before. It takes so much humility to admit that you only know a little and that there is so much for you to learn. It takes even more humility to address that problem by going back to school, taking lessons and studying what you have admitted to be lacking knowledge of. He is also a good example to underprivileged people--that poverty cannot stop you from becoming successful or at least building a better life for yourself in the future. Dreams can come true to those who believe and who persist and work hard, really hard.

Swerte ng Manila kay Mayor Isko. Dito sa amin same same walang pagbabago kasi yung dating Mayor parin ang nanalo kaya walang mangyayaring pagbabago. Sana di na lang naging City ang Calbayog City kasi parang Barangay lng ang datingan, Walang unlad. Barag ang kalsada ng mismong city propper at napakabagal ng development ni wala ngang sinehan dito at matinong mall at onte ng stablishment at madilim sa gabi kulang sa pa ilaw. Kelan pa kaya kame uunlad.

Support lang need ni mayor isko at babalik muli ang ganda ng manila....

Mabuti pa etong si Isko sarili natin wika ang gamit.

Dude, speaking in English or Tagalog should never be an issue! SINCERITY is important, and Isko has it. He's a promising leader. And he can speak English as much as he want, or speak Tagalog as much as he want. Who are you to discriminate people? Don't discriminate just because you're not comfortable with it. If they prefer English over Tagalog, so what? The Philippines is blessed to have English as one of its major languages. Don't be afraid of to use it. Don't be afraid to hear it. SIMPLY DON'T BE AFRAID OF IT.

Tama at wasto ang ginagawa Mayor Isko sariling wika ang gamitin at para naman maintindihan nang nakakarami. Hindi yong ipagpipilitan natin gamitin ang salitang english na hindi naman naiintindahan nang iba.

@@Noniez88988 for the record, Pilipino tayo at Filipino (based on tagalog but is a mix of philippine languages) ang salita natin. Ngunit kahit na ganun, sa sobrang daming language and dialects sa pinas, some groups are more comfortable with English than tagalog dahil they use for example, bisaya and english more than tagalog, the same way that tagalog speaking areas are more comfortable with tagalog and english as opposed to say, a 3rd local language (bicol in my case). It doesn't matter what language someone seaks as long as he identifies as filipino and thinks and acts in behalf and for the sake of filipinos. Mayor Isko has that quality.

@@Noniez88988 Point taken, I also dislike that we utilize English a lot more due to desires of being globally competitive instead of prioritizing the ability for us to understand each other. I am a college student of a university that uses english as the medium of teaching and I hate it. That's something that the UP system is amazing at, they prioritize learning over any formality like uniforms and english as the metjod of instruction for the sake of sophistication.

Inspire talaga ako sa taong to, matalino, may kababaang loob at dedikasyon malasakit sa kanyang bayan, i hope soneday di lang maynila kundi buong pilipinas. Mapakalaki ng respeto ko sa yo mayor Isko.. Di kompleto araw ko kung wala akong mapanood na ganap sa araw araw mong ginagawa..

Tumira Po ako dyan sa Manila ng Mahabang panahon almost half of my life I stayed in Manila. I’m exited to visit Manila when I get home. Salamat sa Panginoon sa buhay nyo na ginagamit kayong instrumento na tumulong, maging tapat sa sarili at sa mga Tao at higit sa lahat May malaking puso na pagmalasakitan ang bansang Pinilipinas. Isko Moreno have the same logic with my son. Being from a poor family born in the Philippines, we have the opportunity to migrate in the United States. He joined the military and took advantage of all the available schooling the military offers. His goal is to be rich someday. He encounters all demeaning comments like what Isko Moreno encounters for being just a high school graduate. He self study and challenged the college to give him an Engeering test and he passed it in a flying color. While working he continue to study all aspect of Nuclear Engeneering and now he is currently a CEO of one plant here in the United States. That is why I love to always watch anything about Isko Moreno. He is a brilliant man.

This person deserves more respect than anyone or more than 50% who are now sitting in both chambers of the senate and congress. To be blunt and direct, I mean If he was elected in the senate last 2016, he potentials, experience and knowledge of public service would have been stifled due to to partisan practices of his would have been colleagues that are now either TUTA or a true opposition of the current administration. He was meant to be in the local government particularly the City of Manila, which I believe is a much harder job or a task that maybe only one or a couple if there is any one in the senate that is qualified to be the Mayor Elect of Manila right now. Lets take for an example of the current race for the Speaker-ship that will be held in 2 days. Imagine, just because you are the son and the daughter of our current great president, the 2 children and their pawns will even dare to meddle and change after the President already has spoken! Why ? ..... My, answer is simple!" WALA KASI SILA SA KALINGKINGAN NI ISKO PAG DATING SA GALING, KISIG AT SA KARUNUNGAN " ... I can write so much about why Manila is lucky to have the heaven sent Mayor Isko Moreno to fill this whole space, instead I will just leave it with a serious note......." Raphonzel Lejano .........I agree 110%! Hopefully Isko will clean-up corruption! at least one corrupt Erap is gone now start cleaning the dirty kitchen! Mabuhay ang bagong Manila Mayor ......ang Bagbabago nang Maynila!

May 12, he was the "lesser evil" for Manila mayorship. May 19, I'm now impressed with this guy. I was wrong about him (happy though). He knows where he came from and he works hard to improve himself - studying, reading, listing to mentors. There is hope for Manila.

I never been so interested about Manila, then I heard there's a new guy in town cleaning the house from top to bottom. So now, am curious and watching from the other side of the world. Congrats Isko.
