Mayflower Compact 1620 -- Hear and Read the Full Text
Listen to and read the text to the Mayflower Compact, signed November 11, 1620. This document expressed the loyalty of the settlers in Plymouth Colony to the King of Great Britain. The majority of those settlers did NOT sign this compact, since many of those pilgrims renounced their loyalty.

I was told that the Mayflower arrived in Cape Cod on December 21,1620!

The Mayflower arrived at Cape Cod November 11. However, they did not venture ashore until December 21, so you are correct! They began building houses, and continued throughout the winter, returning to the ship at night. It wasn't until the following March that there were enough houses for every colonist to stay on land!
