Maybe The Most Beautiful Book I Have Read || Warhost of Vastmark by Janny Wurts (spoiler free)

As someone who normally does not care about prose this series makes me care. This is probably the most beautiful yet heartbreaking book I have read in a long time.

Excellent review! You complimented me on talking about The Spear Cuts Through Water spoiler-free, but this book is much harder to talk about without spoilers, and you did a great job!

Fantastic review! These books are so hard to talk about spoiler free and you did a great job! I will say the 5 arc structure (Warhost concludes Arc 2) definitely is part of why the structure is the way it is. You're starting Arc 3 next which is the longest Arc, so that will change. The black/white feel will also shift as tou continue IMO as you continue, Janny does a fantastic job making you see things from all different angles. Glad you're enjoying it and cant wait to see you continue!

I am definitely inspired to start reading this series. I love character driven stories. Looking on my library web site now to see if they have the first book. They do!

I have the first two books of her series and to ride hells chasm but man is it going to be hard to fit this into my year of rereading Sanderson and game of thrones! But now with your video I have to start it!

I have not read it, but I have it on my TBR already. Can't wait to get to it! That's somewhat disappointing when it's predicable, but it's nice that the overall experience makes up for it.

An important thing to consider over the course of Curse of the Mistwraith to Warhost of Vastmark with the fights is the costs and what Arithon aims to accomplish through Ships and much of Warhost. The costs of standing his ground is so high for the clans that he aims to deter/avoid a repeat but ultimately cannot and has to engineer a frankly terrifying event to break Lysaer's massed forces. Lysaer's side has bigger losses but those aren't indicative of much else but body count.

I've read the Empire trilogy that she coauthored with Raymond Feist years ago and remember enjoying it quit a lot. Somewhere I have To Ride Hell's Chasm... I was wondering about two of the books behind you they are 8 and 9 over from the left of Dune.

I need to read To Ride Hell’s Chasm. Those books are the complete Grim brothers fairytales and Dracula. I believe I got them from books a million.
