Poor maya.. She always say's "i'm okay" but we all know she isn't. I noticed she's so sad and depressive.. I wanna hug her so bad. Shaz Anwar agree w you. that’s how they see it. i see it that maya and lucas loved each other and the only reason why he “picked” riley was because maya told him to. idk if y’all have seen the scene where they come in the window when they are covered in purple paint and maya said “have you picked one of us yet huckleberry?” and he said “yes” maya said something like “good because you picked riley” after she said that he was sad, you could see it in his face. i think the reason he went with riley is because he felt maya had lost feelings for him.

The look of disappointment on maya's face when she found out Riley still liked Lucas is so sad. Maya totally deserves better.

I'm going to be honest. Lucaya should have happened.... Maya saw Lucas first and thought they would never see him again so she pushed riley towards him. They just never worked though. Everyone expected Rucas to happen so they went out and it didn't work . Maya was the one who saw him first, Maya is the one that pushed her feelings away for riley , Maya is the one who was so scared something bad would happen to Lucas on that bull. Riley stepped back for like 2 episodes and began to get jealous. Then everyone started telling Maya how she felt... if Lucas could learn to love her while he loved riley doesn't that mean something ???

I’m gonna be honest and I know I’m a year late to comment on this lol but I hate that no one cared about what would happen to maya. No one put her feelings into consideration at all and it sucks. We all knew Cory and topanga wanted Lucas to chose Riley because that’s their daughter at the end of the day they will always choose Riley’s happiness before Maya’s. It’s bull. They never gave Lucas and maya a chance to just grow or properly try dating without being forced. All maya got was someday 🙃🙃🙃

lucaya deserved better

I hate to say this bc I really love them together but Maya deserves better. Lucas could never make up his mind and I can't imagine how painful her suffering of seeing Lucas with Riley must've been. In my opinion Lucas didn't really deserve Maya in the first place bc he kinda played her and Riley. I understand that Maya could never take Lucas away from Riley and I love how their friendship is more important to her than her love relationship thing. But in my eyes this was only one sided I mean I kinda felt like Riley wouldn't have done the same for Maya I mean Maya always had to give up. She practically pushed Lucas to go get Riley and I felt like that wasn't even really what he wanted.

I have stopped watching Disney since the shows are actually crap. But I didn’t know this is how deep it actually is. Seems to fit this generation of pre-teens. Heart-breaking but this happens a lot in middle school.

It's just so revolting the fact that Riley has absolutly everything, and gets everything she wants The series was supposed to be about both, but the writers make Riley clearly a protagonist with benefits Maya has nothing, not even a family (decent), while Riley always had everything, even Lucas It's really sad

I wish it had been Netflix that had revived this show because they would have had the guts to take Lucas and Maya to an actual place that could explore the chemistry between these two and we would've gotten the campfire scene where Lucas actually kisses Maya because I know they filmed that and Disney thought it was too mature for a kids channel which it probably was because they probably had a great scene that was appropriate for a teenage audience because the show was about a bunch of teenagers. And even with them being held back, they had the most chemistry. And on a sidenote, can I just say that Josh really was too old for Maya. There should have been no "someday" moment because it's inappropriate.

imperfectlypretty Ummm 1st of all someday maya and josh could be together. My parents have a 9 year difference between them. My aunt has a 15 year difference between her husband. Now before you come and say oh they’re adults but my mom got married when she was 20. So imagine when she met my dad. Probably around the age of 18. Maybe 19. And god knows when they got engaged. Just think. If she got married at 20 she probably got engaged at 19. So saying the a 3 year difference is inappropriate is completely besides the point and untrue. Second of all, Lucas and Maya would’ve still been a great couple without kissing during the campfire scene. Netflix probably wouldn’t have even included a campfire scene. Sooo, yea.

every time i see GMW i always look for something that shows it has always been maya and lucas and every time i find nothing so then i go to youtube and see what is on here and i always find something. If you look at the facts in season one ep one maya looks and lucas and calls lucas hot on the DL and when lucas see's maya we see that smile but when maya pushes riley over to him he looks at her for a small sec the goes over to maya and does the same thing it maya and lucas and you will see if you look at the small stuff

Why is everyone saying that Maya pushed her feelings away for Lucas??? They never said that in the show!!! She literally didn't like him that way when she was her true self! I hate it!!! I HATE THE SHOW!!! Lukaya was the only reason why I started watching, and watched it!!!

There is no fucking doubt lucaya should’ve been endgame they had so much undeniable chemistry and they were perfect for each other there were so many signs and looks that showed maya did like him and he liked her calling her the blonde beauty when talking about her when he was on the phone to zay and his face was so disappointed when they were at the bay window and she was covered in purple paint and said she was choosing Riley for him and the writers messed up massively with the whole maya trying to be Riley like that’s so stupid and not true at all anyway rant over, Lucas and maya were meant to be together and Riley and farkle should’ve been together end of. x recommend to anyone who sees this to watch a video along the lines of “maya and Lucas lucaya evolution” there might be two parts x it’ll warm your lucaya heart it shows all their moments together from every season

When I saw Maya saying to Lucas to go find Riley and tell her he loves her I literally cried!😢 I mean, Maya always stepped back since day one. She makes fun of Lucas 'cause she likes him. And she makes fun of him basically since day one! In my opinion, Rucas is just a kid crush! I honestly think that Maya has really deep feelings for him instead. Besides, they have more chemistry. Lucas decided to "almost kiss" Maya! LUCAS did! Instead of Riley. Riley was always following Lucas! Riley kissed Lucas! RILEY did! I hate a lot the fact that she always gets everything. I know it's her world but I'm so sorry for Maya. She wanted one thing! Maya's always the one who has nothing and Riley the one who has everything! That's not fair at all! Edit: it's been 2 years since I posted this comment and now I see things a little differently. Needless to say, no one decides who people fall for, but I do believe that, if Maya had to be with somebody, it shouldn't have been Lucas because Maya deserves someone who truly loves her and not loves her but also loves someone else. And besides, I don't think what Maya always wanted was a boyfriend.
