As someone who lives in Louisiana, dude we had a junk load of storms this month! Its so ridiculous. Especially that storm on May 16th. It was so bad I had to make a video on it. And today marks the first day of hurricane season too. We'll be seeing some action in 2 months. Also +1 subscriber

Lots of storms this month, but we got lucky and just had little showers for the most part. At least it wasn't bone dry, like last May.

Really cool, I love these! What are all the “ splotches “ of rain that pop up everywhere at once? They all have a blank spot in the middle. Are these some kind of radar anamaly?

They are, indeed! Each of those blank spots is where a weather radar antenna is. During the middle of the night and early morning hours the cooling of the air near the ground can lead to radars being more sensitive to "clutter" -- insects, fog droplets, even buildings and trees. Look up "anomalous propagation" for more info. You can see how the effect travels east to west, as it begins at sunset and ends at sunrise.

Brutal storms in Texas all damn month. Every bleeping storm these days either has wind damage, flooding, hail, or tornadoes. I'm sick of it.

I hear ya. Same for Wisconsin. April wasn't much better. And the parade of storms continues in June. Wettest (or nearly wettest) spring on record. February and March were nicer. And that's saying something for Wisconsin!
