Oh yes, they are great learning books, the first pages are nice simple steps. I'm think I might do a couple of these pages every month if I can find the time. Build up to hard stuff! Half term was great, very well needed, I've some tricky classes this year, its exhausting at times, so a break helps get though the next couple of months with them. Hope you are still enjoying your tours, I keep seeing the old pic on insta, very jealous! If only I could teach from a distance!😂😀, xx ❤️

Thanks so much Allie, ❤️💗 I'm quite enjoying the Chromaflows now, they work well on Amazon paper, and I can get such vibrant colours with them, so they suit my colouring I think .I just hoping I don't wear them down too much before loose stock starts to be available!😉❤️💗❤️

Omg that first page you showed !!! Wow what an opening !! Definitely a masterpeice but i loved all of them, i actually adore the Botanicim page that you thought was messy !! Love the supervision watercolor background !!! Omg i love it so much ! Yes my supervision fiasco from Ali express lol i did end up getting a refund for them and they came in a tube by the way! Anyway for now ill just have to admire them from afar on your beautiful channel !! You always get the best supplies !!! …… love your page in the princess book too !! Stunning❤

Thanks Maia, yes I remembered you'd had a nightmare trying to get them, its frustrating, as they are lovely paints, I'm hoping they might pop up on the Amazons again at some point, I'd really like to get the other two sets of these but I'm am nervous of spending so much on a set of paint via Ali. I like the Botanicim page now, but gosh I honestly thought I'd ruined the page for a while, adding a few other colours saved it really, it needed the layers. You know me, I dont really do mess and uncontrolled, I've got to be in control! 😂 Thankfully it got to a point I was happy with it. Thanks so much for your kind comments, x Hope you are good, x ❤️💗

I know I went a bit metallic mad, but I do love a bit of shine! The super vision stuff is great, I soo wish you could get some, I think you'd enjoy them. ( They seem to be sadly very hard to find now and daft prices) The page went through a very bad phase, but I kept trusting it would work in the end, but it did test me. I thought I'd ruined it at one point, and I never take my pages out, so this did stress me a bit. The Bees were a bit of a surprise to me, I hadn't planed on the metallics, but just seemed to keep adding more.I do really like it now, I think its my first proper Bee page, so its nice to get done. Thanks so much, 👍🐝👽🤖

I know, I find them tough to do, I'm not much of a chatter really, and always feel like I should be filling the silence on a colour along. I need to find a way that works for me that people might be interested in. I am thinking about it. I tend to use many layers, so my process isn't quick, I'm not sure how interesting it would be. Hi Wendy. all your pages are so gorgeous. I love them all, especially the one in botanicum. The correct translation for the Rita Berman book is "The world under the magnifying glass on land". Many english youtubers translate the German word "lupe" with microscope, but these are two different things. Microscope in English is Mikroskop in German. It also shows a magnifiying glass on the cover and on the inside. Hope that helps.

Loved all your pages but my favorite was the princess book page. Also the background in the Botanicum book looks very much like some Monet pictures I’ve seen

You mentioned that you printed the green fairy portrait on the Neenah paper. Do you know which Neenah paper it is? (Weight and kind)? Also, you said you used derwent drawing to flatten out the texture on the face… did you use the white pencil? Or a different one from the drawing set?

Hiya, The Neenah I'm using is the 110 LB/ 199gsm Index cardstock, white 94 Bright, I'm getting it from Amazon Uk, so hopefully should be available fairly easily, 🤞 I'm enjoying it, the surface feels great under the pencils I use, and its smooth enough for a marker if I wanted. I use Derwent drawing, "Wheat" over skin work, (mostly) but I will use the white in highlight areas, as I won't want to dull the highlight. The wheat is from the 24 set, but can be bought loose stock if needed. Hth, x 👍

@@wendyscolouring thank you for the information. I have the springhill 90 LB paper and I like it but it pills a little bit when you layer several pencils. It’s odd. I was using the Neenah 67 LB Bristol vellum paper before but I didn’t like either side of that one. I have heard several people mention the 110 Neenah paper so I think it’s time I give that one a try. I hope my printer will accept it. lol. I really love the paper in the UK version of Johanna basford books and wish I could just buy that somewhere. I got the 24 set of drawing pencils but haven’t really used them. I am definitely going to give the wheat color a try. Thanks again!!

@@rving642 It’s not too card like, so my printer seems fine with it. Even my Epson inkjet will take it, and that hates all cardstock. Hope it works for you, x
