1958 Mercedes 190SL
For sale is a lovely 1958 Mercedes 190SL. This vehicle came out of Beverly Hills, CA. The previous owner had it for the last 20 years. It has been a California car all of its life, and it is evident by its condition. This vehicle has no rust, and the body is extremely straight. The paint appears to be mostly original, as the paint meter readings are very low all around the car. Although that would be hard to believe, if it was painted it was a very long time ago, and it was done very well. No sign of previous accidents or body fillers. Furthermore the car has all of its spot welds, which is very rare on these 190sl’s. This paint could polish up look great, but I think it gives it more character the way it is. The interior is in excellent condition. The soft top looks new. It has no hard top. To my knowledge everything should be operating fine , including the radio. Mechanically it runs and drives very well! The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. The carburetors were just rebuilt and it has a new fuel pump. It fires right up, and you don't even need to pull the choke! Transmission shifts through all gears. Clutch feels good, I believe it was done about five years ago. Come inspect it yourself. It's an old car, do not expect perfection. Always additional tlc that you could do. It drives straight down the road, and the suspension feels just fine. No known leaking. Clean title.
