I’ll never forget 2019 when they gave Nick bosa the rookie defensive player of the year over Maxx who didn’t have as much help as bosa did 🤦🏻‍♂️

The only reason I wouldn't have him as best edge rusher is because he plays way more snaps then everyone else but his stats are still around theirs

yeah and maxx doesn't have help like other defenses. You can comfortably put two guys on crosby all game and not really be worried about anyone else. Crosby gets better every year. His consistent pressure always helps the defense and his run d is also one of the best in the league.

Best all around DE in the game. Sacks, pressures, TFLs. You can see the man chase down plays 20 yards down the field. He rlly does it all

I’ve never seen this man take a play off, it’s like he runs full speed every single play

He epitomises what Raider defences are all about.

Mad Maxx does it alone! Best DE in the Game! Once Koonce got the green light they complement each other.

Crosby had the most tackles of any DL 90!! 14.5 sacks (6th in league)

Not only has Maxx gotten better but his effort is translating over to the LBs and back end with the INTs. Finally we have a formidable defense. MD better not let AP walk

Honestly I’m glad Chandler Jones didn’t work out, Koonce is a killer that perfectly complements Mad Maxx. Both sides of the line are good and getting even better!

Best run stopping edge rusher by far and also a top 5 pass rusher. No other edge is doing it all like him. Hopefully he’s not snubbed from first team All-Pro again.

Probably up there with yards and sacks too. And what's crazy, is that includes the game where they put up 63 vs the Chargers! That means they kicked off to them 10 times, and they still hardly scored.

Koonce suddenly just exploded into dominance. I always thought he was under utilized but something clicked with his technique to pair with his athleticism and he looks like a superstar. Now they got Wilkins too?? And Tyree really started coming along towards the end of the year. This defense could be scary good is the secondary plays even average ball.
