Fame Sucks!!! This guy is an impeccable musician and artist. I am a refugee from the sixties and I find nothing lacking in this man's performances. He sounds like himself AND he develops the tradition of R&B and Great Black Music in its universal appeal. It takes a whole lot of strength and stability to do what he does. He is in league with Marvin and may well be healthier than dear Marvin. Long live Maxwell!

Beautiful. So many emotions in this song.

I completely AGREE. It's such a breath of fresh air to see that amongst the oversexed repetitive subject matter of pop R & B today, this soulful and true sense of the word "artist", could easily step back in the limelight and still be recognized as well as honored by the critics. Now I'm just sitting around and waiting for D'Angelo and Bilal to bring a new sonic wave. lol. I can't tell you how much I NEED this music!!

This is so beautifully pleasant that it had me overcame with nostalgia and crying with tears of joy thanks to the fact I remembered enjoying this type of music as a young little boy.

Unless his directing the band I’ve notice he moves his right hand when he’s on stage I think bc he gets nervous and has stage fright. He’s been doing it since he debuted and still does it 😭😩

Still remember watching this live and being geeked....Bought the album first day release two copies at target when debuts where $10

Maxwell always picks up Princes slack, or vice versa, (or not) depending on whichever way you want to view each of those mega-talented artists. To me, the short, course scream and the emphatic gravelly part near the end are Prince trademarks. Regardless... BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!

I just watched this video right after i watched his previous performance on letter man of his song "lifetime" in 2001 and he's got the same band too, that is dedication to the team that's backing him. and he still sounds amazing

Notice CHRIS DAVE on the drums. One of my favorites! Although I would love to see him back with Mint condition for those sick drum battles between him and Stokely, I am glad to see him touring with Maxwell. This drummer is one of the best. VERY VERSATILE!
