i love this i tried to use lidar on my cat and scan her but she wouldn't be still for it i'm not sure if they used photogrammetry for the model but i assume they did i would like to know how they got the cat to sit long enough if they did use that technique

i think they used a combination of both. photogrammetry for the cat model and any movement that could mess up the model is cleaned up with manually manipulating it in something like blender. i would do it with my cat but she cant stand still at all

they just make the model to roughly the shape of the cat and then use the photo of the cat to make the texture

I took a look at the model itself in Blender. It looks like it was made manually, which then has a photo of the cat used to make the texture. Doesn't look like any photogrammetry was used.

I cannot describe how much joy this video brings me.
