I kind of came to the same conclusion--I find the micro to be more usable than the mini. Strange, but I think some of it is the size of the tools that I want to carry in such a kit. It's easier to pack the micro than the mini.
I love both of these pouches. The micro you can feel everything that’s in the pouch it has very little structure to the pouch. The mini feels more strong and has a solid base to keep your items protected.

I️ am looking at both. I️ think the micro will work well for me for storing in my pocket in the winter and in my sling bag for the summer. Looks like it holds just what you really need for daily use.

that's a good way to look at it, as long as you have a big pocket haha mine is pretty stuffed but it fits perfect in my sling
Hi Sneaky Pete - I'd actually be interested in what items you've put in the pouches in this video. Do you have a video on that?
Just picked up a Maxpedition mini. The zipper seems to stick a bit around the side of the pouch (the longest run). In your experience, is this something that will improve with time/use? Or should I replace this one? Thanks in advance!

hmm I'd imagine it would improve but if it somehow got damaged it may be hooped. mine is quite smooth and was from the start if that helps

Rub the zipper with wax. It will loosen up.
