Loosely translated it means preemptive revenge. The song is about the guitarist Ryu being bullied in middle school. In the end he comes to the realization that it is better to let go of all the hate from the past and move forward.

Ryu (guitar) was bullied in school...and his elder sister, Naoko (drums), generally fought for him. Sadly, school bullying is an epidemic in Japan.

I mean it’s an epidemic everywhere in schools. I wonder what he was bullied the most for. Especially it things made him write a song about it

@@moshpitreactions Mostly for his weight. And, bullying is as bad in Japan as anywhere in the world.

as someone who worked in japan as a lower secondary history teacher, i rarely saw bullying, but i saw way to much sexual harassment from teachers, at one point when i reported it the principal just said to me "no one cares, in fact society blames the girls because they are girls, so if you see a beautiful one, just sleep with her and she will be blamed"

MTH is always all over the place. Genre mashup masters. MTH is why Hanabie are the way they are. Can you imagine Hanabie at 15 or 16 years old covering some MTH songs? Hanabie's new album is being released tomorrow. Nao, the great female drummer for MTH, has been an inspiration to countless female drummers in Japan. If it wasn't for Nao, many might not have ever started drumming. Akane of Band-Maid and Tamu Murata of Nemophila are examples.

@@moshpitreactions MTH had a huge influence on Hanabie since they started as a high school MTH tribute band. Although there are probably dozens of rock/metal female drummers in Japan, it is still a small club comparatively. If that club had a leader, it would be Nao Kawakita.

You said the name perfectly. Try TENOHIRA DE ODORU, by SOKO NI NARU (Backwards Hat Man might find it terribly disorienting at first, but it all starts making sense after a few listens) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGuB29F7m8yfp84.html
