They are having a guess the lyrics contest with this song. The “words” in the video are gibberish. The more you know.

The message at the beginning says that the music video is a competition to guess what the actual lyrics are and that they will release the actual lyrics in the subtitles in September. Maximum the Hormone lyrics are notoriously difficult to understand even for Japanese speakers and this song is packed full of puns, double entendres, etc. To me it sounds like a good portion of the song is in Japanese, but pronounced in a way that sounds like English to Japanese speakers, so it is particularly difficult to parse.

Your comment about Oppenheimer is very miraculous. In this music video, the lyrics of the scene sung by the armless robot are, "Don't take it anymore. There aren't that many. Don't drop it. Everyone hurts." The music video was released on August 6th, the day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. If possible, please understand that the perspective of thinking about things differs depending on the country of birth. I don't know what most of the lyrics are saying, but I feel that the message of anti-war and world peace is hidden in these days when Russia's use of nuclear weapons is in danger.

Is that why I hear the intro and outro saying "America drops the P****"?

My Japanese isn't that great, but from what I can see that last ad they put is for a limited CD version of this track. FInal day to order it is August 7th 11pm 59 Japan time (which was 45 minutes ago at the time of my reply). I had to look up some more info because I wasn't sure if it was a single or an EP, but apparently they only set this up from August 3rd until now. So that's a very limited edition. It seems like it is still available on the pages they have in their description at the moment, but I am probably not going to go through all the trouble trying to get it any more. I hope this stays up though, I know they really don't need the exposure any more at this point in their career and I'm not convinced they are actually all that happy about reactions, but it also helps spreading Japanese music in the West and I think that's something they wouldn't have a problem with.

No, it's not just you. For me, this one is also not one of my absolute favorites. I like this song, but I also prefer at least a handful of other songs that are, as you say, entirely MTH. Although I must admit that I find the 80s part with Nao quite awesome, and I would love to have a whole song of it alone. 🙈 She is so charismatic, a beast in what she does, and has a presence that is second to none. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ _"Sometimes we laugh because we're sad or to hide our frustration"_ - from *Gacharic Spin* -「 I Wish I 」 🎶✨

I understand where you’re coming from saying you like alien. Don’t get me wrong I love that song too . I’m 32 now and I’ve been listing to them since middle school . The way I see it each song is an adventure. You can’t say one song sounds like max and one doesn’t . All the songs fused makes maximum the hormones. If you buy an album and listen it to it from beginning to end it’s an adventure

Your comment on Oppenheimer was very very weird Sir. Japan has lived that and doesn't feel attacked by a semi-biograohical movie, nor does it need said movie to remember...there are still 23 American military basis all over Japan and America has a huge influence in every political decision the country makes/is even allowed to make. I don't think this is the right place to discuss this but...not the best wording there ^^'. Also...Electric Callboy are German and you cannot steal a vibe, while using music without permission is illegal. You also cannot steal a musical genre (at worst it's cultural appropriation but that seems to be the whole point of the song - it's also something Maximum the Hormone always did as they grew up with- and were inspired by American Metal - so there is no 'pure' Maximum the Hormone style). And boy are you off with your "You can't get so many people do the same thing!" statement XD Obviously this was computer generated but from getting 20.000 people to sit down and jump up to making the same hand gestures on command - At a Japanese concert people feel like a community and everyone has fun together. Sadly most indoor venues don't allow for huge circle pits as there are metal bars in between to get people from pushing towards the stage and hurting each other. But they can turn even small venues into one gigantic mosh pit. Their shows are honestly insane!

I love MTH but there’s a lead riff from Band Maid’s “Decided by Myself” that was clearly taken here. Kanami’s lawyer will be in touch.

I didn't notice it to be fair. Also, I say this as a Band-Maid fan, but there are only so many possible chord progressions to write, there are some chord progressions that are used in 100's of popular songs. Band-Maid has riffs that are very similar to other songs as well. I believe people pointed it out for Different, I forget which song by an other Japanese band it sounded like but it was very close, not to say anything about the No God riff that is very similar to Ace Of Spades. It happens. There is also no way that Akane would stand for anyone to send lawyers to Maximum The Hormone since she is a big fan.

@@bryandevito5120 I'm not saying you are crazy or need help, I can hear what you mean, it is pretty similar. I am just saying that this kind of stuff happens a lot. There are only so many notes to play with and sometimes people come up with very similar ideas. That specific riff is also one of the most generic rock riffs you can imagine, I am sure there are other examples of songs that have a very similar riff. I am also not convinced that Maximum The Hormone is listening to Band-Maid, they are not that well known in Japan and this track is not one of their more known ones either. So I am pretty sure it's just pure coincidence, like it is the case with most riffs that sound similar.

I’m not accusing MTH of ever hearing that song. It’s an obscure Kanami riff from a not popular BM song. It’s shockingly exact. That’s where I am. Love both bands. Maybe I baited the commentary. Sorry.

@@bryandevito5120 You don't have to apologize for this. It's one of those things that you can't really unhear once you have heard it. You will probably keep hearing it every time you hear this track, it's only natural to comment about it. I am sure there are more people that noticed it, there are plenty of Band-Maid fans who like Maximum The Hormone as well.

LMFAO!!! Pausing does NOTHING but bring attention to you for trying to get around COPYRIGHT. There are actually a lot of KZread channels that DON'T pause ("The Never Pause Channel" for instance). They do all of the same videos, and never, ever pause. Just don't steal instead of getting permission. Put your self in the place of that video's owner and then you see people willfully trying to CHEAT the copyright. The pausers are the ones getting the most strikes, because they make it extremely obvious that they are stealing. Like so many things going on right now, lol, it's the coverup that does the most damage.
