I sent this song to my daughter when she was following company and was becoming rebellious. She decided she wanted to take a break from school and wanted to have boyfriends. I was relentless as I knew she was way better than what she was becoming. Luckily she has changed and now we are best of friends and she is now becoming a doctor.

@jojottheprodigaldaughter This song was actually written and released by the British artist Cat Steven's in 1970. It was written after he broke up with the American model and actress Patti D'Arbanville. He also wrote the song " Lady D'Arbanville" about her as well. She is probably best known for the TV show "New York Undrcover" as Lt. Cooper. Cat Stevens was very popular in the early 70s. He changed his name to Yusef Islam in 1977 after he converted to Islam. His birth name was Steven Demetre Georgiou.

I sent this song to my daughter when she was following company and was becoming rebellious. She decided she wanted to take a break from school and wanted to have boyfriends.

A master piece from Maxi Priest. It still sounds as it did the first time I heard it in 1990
I’ve been searching for this song for what seems like forever. Hearing it again feels like finally coming home
Old school music will always be the best!

1988 was a golden year with two wonderful reggae covers - this, and Aswad's amazing version of Don't Turn Around. Two incredible songs.
Me da nostalgia estaba joven y era una linda época
Personalmente, considero que después de la original de cats Stevens, esta es la mejor versión que ha salido de esta hermosa canción. Gracias por subirla.
‘Rona is showing us just how wild the world can be!!!
One of the best songs ever! So uplifting, so real, so rythmic, so 90s! LOL! Man, I was going through such a hard time in my adolescence when this song was hot in LA. In times of despair I found solace in these lyrics. This song is so irie so right in so many ways. I only HOPE y’all equally approve genius behind the music ✌🏽

Despite it's a cover song, it still rocks! Maxi Priest plays great reggae music.
This song never gets old. What a great song
Se pasa mejor la cuarentena con musica de tiempos felices . 2020 desde Argentina😘
One of them rare examples where the cover exceeds the original.

One of the good things about reggae artists. They always seem to put out covers of old songs that are surprisingly better than the original. Just ask Big Mountain and UB40 :)

Now that I've lost everything to you You say you want to start something new And it's breaking my heart you're leaving Baby I'm grieving But if you want to leave take good care Hope you find a lot of nice things to wear But then a lot of nice things turn bad Out there Oh baby baby it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh baby baby it's a wild world I'll always remember you like a child girl You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do And it's breaking my heart in two Because I never want to see you sad girl Don't be a bad girl But if you want to leave take good care Hope you find a lot of nice friends out there Just remember there's a lot of bad air Beware Oh baby baby it's a wild world It's hard to get by just upon a smile Oh baby baby…

Amazing 80s and 90s years.
One of my faves of all times. Takes me back to the islands
I saw him in concert once. Fell in love, that voice is so smooth.
Maxi's,Cat's and Jimmy Cliff's version, all so great in their own ways.
This is the best version of this song.
They don't make it this good anymore!!! So simple, so peaceful
Como en todas las canciones memorables de los 80s no podía faltar el saxofón, que tiempos aquellos, que diferencia con la basura de música de ahora.
