MaxCam Outlaw Enduro 2024

Ride along with me at the 2024 Outlaw Enduro hosted by FASTR MC for Round 3 of the AMRA State Championship.
It took me a little while to find my mojo but felt good once I got going in the 3rd test.
I didn't record test 1 and ran out of Go Pro battery in the final test (5).
The course was 85 miles of chunky singletrack and desert mountain riding.

Damn, the only time that bike even sounded remotely like it was working hard is when he was revving it to pass guys. Those are some truly Cholla packed test sections. Sure wish someone would develop an "eye cam" that shows a little red dot on screen depicting where Pro riders like Max are looking ahead on the course. I think that would be a great training device. I know I don't look far enough ahead.

I’m curious: do you find a 4-stroke to be better for AMRA races than a 2-stroke? - or simply a personal choice?

He rides the 2 stroke in hard enduro/extreme type races and prefers the 350 in desert/Hare Scramble races.

I like the 4t for anything easier that super hard hard enduro.
Do you run a mousse setup?

OH yeah, you wont make it 5 miles into a test with tubes or tubliss in this race.

I feel like chaps are needed watching this. All them jumping cactus around got me cringing. Definitely tighter trails then the D37 races in California.
Just wow. Cactus 🌵 sucks!
