2013 was a pretty good show and so were many shows at the time this movie was so god damn terrible thr only good thing about it is the animation/CGI being next gen looking

Christ, the CGI show wasn’t anything special but it feels like the writing of this film just drains all of the 2013 cartoon’s goodwill and charm right out of its body. I mean, the only thing that sort of looks okay is Steel because they didn’t really change him all that much but apart from that, it’s really saddening

It was nerd corps who animated the frist season, they created storm hawk's and slug tarrer and also animated one of the best monster high amputations in my opinion. Sadly they got absorbed by another company

I mean that is literally what happened. This movie is pretty much a MUCH worse version of the first 2 episodes of the 2013 series. The story, writing, and voice acting are much better, it's basically just the animation which is a relic of the time that some would find difficult to sit through. The 4th and 5th season is where it turns to be more like this movie and becomes bad.

When I watched that movie, I left the theater with no memory of it.

I got a strong urge to rewatch the show after seeing this review and wow! This movie is basically the first 3 episodes of the show (60ish mins) stretched out over a longer period of time, yet from what you said about the movie (haven't seen it) it has less content and characterization somehow. Bruh... so much wasted potential.

The marketing for the movie was really bad. No trailers for it online and the trailer would rarely show up on TV

In 40 minutes, the 2013 show would have wrecked 6 tanks, leveled a city block, had 5 minutes of awkward speed flirting, and still left time for a big climactic fist fight and a closing gag.

The Max Steel I remember was the action figure. I have a whole tub container in my storage that is filled with nothing but Max Steel and Action Man.

I remember being so excited for the movie cause I loved the 2013 cartoon and being super disappointed when I finally saw it because of the plot, the character changes, and how the Elementors had no personalities at all which made them interesting

@@retrox2776 But the audience only knows the scenes are happening at the same time because it cuts back and forth between them. If it didn't cut back and forth then one scene would be happening at a different point in time than the other rather than simultaneously.

@@RialVestro I see what you're saying but there are many other ways to convey that scenes are happening at the same time without constantly jumping. The least the movie could do is make it feel more fluent or natural when jumping back and forth (My opinion)

@@k-rom8694 true however *for me* it didn't feel that dramatic, it felt a bit forced (Cartoon still better by light years)

Max Steel, a decent show that got screwed out of its last couple episodes and than lost the studio that made it good and lost itself making films that are basically just barbie level animation. Not joking the entire Team Turbo saga of movies is just terrible. Also if you want the actual ending to the 2013 series have fun looking at terrible quality videos on youtube cause most of those movies only got released in latin America.

@@Yamanosei95 I wasn't talking about the original, but hey like I said the 2013 reboot was just decent, I wouldn't describe it as terrible, it wasn't offensively bad or anything. But was the original actually good never saw it, also and this is the last point... Did you actually just link an Evanescence bring me to life AMV, because if so that is hilarious.
