really comes down to comfort to me. idk if this is more comfortable then a power bank in a pants pocket with a longer cable run up to the heaset. this does have way less cable and easier to take on and off for sure.

I just received my white zyber neck battery, and I noticed something odd. When it’s plugged in and the headset is on, there’s a faint electrical like crackling sound on the left side, it almost sounds like a fan. Is yours like this?

I got a 2 to 3 strap adapter off ebay for my quest 2 battery strap and the battery is only 10w drain but seems to do a fine job.

On God I only recommend that battery if you plan on for being on for a while because it's 80$ I'm probably going to get it though I just want to make my qwest 3 a beast because it would be sooooo good if they just did straps better and battery

I’ve charged the backup battery and when the main battery dies, the backup battery doesn’t pick up and the headset dies. I’m lost.

It sounds like you're not turning the external battery on until after the headset dies. That's not how they're supposed to be used. It should be plugged in and turned on all the time. The headset will then drain power from the extra battery.

im using a 30k mah battery pack witha 22w output

i don't think that this solution is a good idea. A 10000maH battery is not that heavy and the size is small enough to put it at the back of the headstrap. This gives you exactly the counter wheight balance you need to wear the Quest 3 comfortable.

Stupid Idea IMHO. I just put a 10.000mAh Powerbank (with "charge through", i.E. Varta) at the back of head. This ADDS COMFORT (counterweight) and costs me 15 Euros.

Sorry but a 18w battery like this one is not enough for the Q3. Really needs 22.5-30w packs imho. A 10000mahr 30w pack, together with a short 1m battery cable, placed in your front shirt or pants pocket is a lot better, and less expensive.

There’s been a lot of testing by others other than myself that has shown that 18w is the max that the quest 3 will draw through the usb c port so having a power bank capable of higher watts won’t make a difference.

18 watt for me has worked fine. It would just stay the same. It doesn’t drain but would maintain charge during gameplay. And as the person said from what I read 18 watt is the max power the q3 will take in from the usb c port. So it wouldn’t make any difference going above 18 watt PD

I would say this isn’t worth it. You can get a 20watt PD 10,000mah battery bank for $16-$25. Much better to just but that and put it in your pocket
