The whole point of this game was them telling Max it's time to move on and let them go, it's even in the airport theme song in the finale. Him going to Brazil was a "brighter" future (even though he had to clean it up a bit first).

It always stood out to me. Knowing very well that this was probably the last time max would ever see his family's grave, Their last goodbye to him was protecting him from people trying to hurt him. People criticize this game a lot but small moments like these is what makes it such a classic, let alone all the big ones

I really appreciate these sections back in new york, it shows that rockstar appreciates the old look and feel of Max payne and contrasts it further with the foreign environment he now finds himself in.

The dark and gritty noir atmosphere of New York and New Jersey are what made me enjoy the Max Payne series. Sure the missions that take place in Brazil are good, but these flashback missions take the cake. By the way your shooting skills on this game are immaculate.

@@revlouder5865 I am there, 16 years and going. At 14 years I got a weird face disease that made all of the people stare at me and laugh. It did not go away. I can say I was in the process of building my life, even at the age of 14, then I lost ALL my friends, girls especially were the ones to quit first, I got paranoid, diagnosed with body dismorphic disorder, depression, social anxiety etc., everything went to sheet, and the meds destroyed my metabolism, I got fat, have problems in the bathroom, I started to stutter, I can't find words in my native language when I translate from English for my dad, I even forget words in my language as I don't talk to no one, my family got tired of me, my sister once talked to me, we watched movies together, played games etc., and now she avoids me, it's as if I'm dead to her. I suspect my own mother doesn't like me, my brother too who sometimes gave me money but since he got married his wife did everything to make sure he was under her boot and he wouldn't give me anything anymore. I live off of social benefits, half of which I have to give to my mother. I'm 33 and a virgin and never will do anything with my life, unless, as a matter of fact today even I'm going to a social worker, who specializes in cases like me, so he can find an appropriate job for me. Just to have something of my own, FOR ME, not live off of my parents, who anyway never want to give me any money. And believe me, I go insane and am frustrated that I lost everything at the age of just 14, and I can't come to terms with it. I can't, because emotionally I'm a 15 year old boy, not an adult. I hope you regained at least some of what you lost. Wish me luck.

Please know that whatever you think is holding you back can be a lot worse, health is the most precious thing we have and we won't know it's value until we start losing it and a plethora of other issues cone along especially mental ones, but trust me you have the whole world in front of you, and I am sure someday you will find your soulmate, just carry on and improve yourself even if it may seem pointless, someday you will know the value of self improvement. Sadly this is life, we don't always get what we won't, but a lot of others go through a lot worse and seeing them really makes you humble and appreciate whatever you have, hang in there mate and good luck.

mp3 is without a doubt the best 3rd person shooter mechanics every created on top of the most detailed body physics of literally any game ever. The amount of work it would take to make a game the size of gta 5 or rdr2 with the exact detail and physics of mp3 is insane. Extremely slept on game, however i would argue its true potential is only realized on pc

Absolutely love the dark, neo noir gritty atmosphere this level has. Cobblestone roads and pathways, East Coast, 20 degree weather, the dead of night, Jersey accents, puffy jackets, trench coats and last but not least, the gothic architecture of the cemetery grounds. Fantastic.

When Payne stood by the graves of his family, I had nothing but Punisher Max vibes! I love it!

New Jersey level in the game easily the best, it’s a perfect continuation to Max Payne 2, and this is how Max Payne 1-2 remake should look like 👍

I'm more amazed that he rolled upstairs than his shooting accuracy

The fucking music in this game is so heavy, it makes me feel like max's skeleton is glowing red from all the melancholy, it know its a 80's action movie esqe game, but all of the presentation comes together so dench, like a thick steak, but with max's favorite. Whiskey

they point your camera to look at the guy and shoot him on the spot but I saw other people in the cutscene creeping up on me and I was like `hmm .. where are those people?` `oh just look to the left, silly!!` so if you`re fast enough you can kill 3 people max which in turn means you`ll fight 3 people *less* afterwards. I just love how I found this neat strategee!! rofl:)

I love this no damage run, but in this chapter Passos always cracks me up :D

The transition is so good and the way the music slowly builds before it kicks in fully and you start fighting in the graveyard gives me goosebumps every time I replay the game

Wow Man, its like someone sent Max to the past and he knows location and time of everyone needs to shoot. Got me so exited that I want to play this game again! Awesome, Point and Shoot man!

No No No, I meant, Max time travelled to the past and now he knows all the targets locations. Most amazing is you have used just 1 bullet for each target many times, where I had spent the whole magazine. How'd you do it cause I would love to play the game next time like this.

The gameplay mechanics for Max Payne 3 are very realistic the old school no damage is very nice to see. I’m thinking once I practice a lot more I’ll try hardcore first no damage seems hard to do since the enemies seem to rush you

The skill is real.

0:18 I've always respected Rockstar for actually including this line. Yeah, sure, people move on with their life and find new relationships, but Mona felt so pushed on in MP2. I mean, it's been only 5 years and Max is already having an affair, while talking about his killed wife and baby. It was so strange seeing him grieve and forget about Michelle in a moment at the same time. MP3 took a much better approach, in my opinion: showing how much the loss of loved ones can affect a person. Especially if it was in such a traumatic event. In this game Max actually always remembers. After giving us the closure to his grief in the ending (Song HEALTH - Tears heavily implies it) it seems more fitting for him to move on now after the credits, than it was in the second game, where Max just kinda forgot about everything that had happened to his family and found a replacement pretty soon.

The insanity that comes after losing the life you've built", that comes afterwards, don't really correlate with this idea of him talking about not being able to save her. I think it implies the contrast between Mona and Michelle, - that he got into the affair with Mona, because he needed another person in his life to fill the void. Eventually, he realised it was a thirst for a mere physical contact, while he loved Michelle with his soul and couldn't let her go, thus it felt like cheating on his wife for him. At least, in MP2 this Sax+Max relationship really didn't seem like true love for me, considering how little time they've known each other and how he basically talks about her looks only.

I never understood that part at the beginning. Here you are gunning down bad guys for brunch, but the second you have bad guys holding a group hostage that you could save, you bust in like "Look, I'm putting the gun away, be a nice bad guy and let them go!". Like wtf? Why wouldn't he just gun the fuckers down and save the day? It seemed so out of character.
