It was a hellish experience, no doubt about it. But sometimes, the most desperate circumstances push us to tap into our hidden reserves of strength and creativity. And as I finally broke free from the airport's grip, I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of accomplishment. I had defied the odds. I had embraced my inner Flintstone. And now, I was ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead, armed with a newfound determination and a interesting story to tell."

in gta 4 the cars really do feel like a clump of metal, rather than an unstopable boulder heading in one direction

Well there are cars in the game. Da Silva's car for example the bus and the UFE vans. They used the driving mechanics for this purpose.

@chandllerburse737 Yeah, and Max Payne has only 4 scenes with vehicles you sit in, Heli, Boat, Bus, Car as far as I can remember and then a bunch of scripted ones that just come in and park. That doesn't need the physics ported.

@@gabrielmartines3510 because the car's physics actually distribute the weight, leading to actual body roll that has a genuine effect on handling it's the same exact system as GTA IV, a system still praised as the most realistic feeling in the series (they are a little floaty admittedly, but it feels so much better driving a GTA IV car vs GTA V, where they feel like feathers)

Just finished this awesome game

it has that GTA IV body roll with a little bit more arcade-y touch to the driving itself, something that was arcadized more for the final release of GTA V, including the body roll (some people calling it boaty suspension) being non-existent

We had the bus chase and the boat chase scenes but that was it, apart from the airport where you chase a plane. Max is a shooter, not a driver, lol

Max Payne 3 with cars would be the greatest game in the world, considering it has gta 4 handling.

Maybe they had the intention to let Max drive at some point in the game? The handling and suspension of the car actually look realistic for a game that was not meant to let you drive

It would be cool if there was a driving section in this game, i mean it can work like HL2 where you you have to drive from A to B while some enemies are giving chase. Basically GTA Online's enemy pursuits (where enemies chase you in missions) but on a more linear level but still open that you can leave your car and explore some bits or maybe have to leave your vehicle to open some gate

It was a cut asset probably for the final scene at the airport you would've probably been able to drive Max says a line to De silva as well saying" Only if I was in one these things" If you can't shoot out the car then its not for the airport scene and probably for the favela part maybe as just a lil part to drive to the next scene and thats it. I was in the favela scene and im on ps3 but I was going through the mission so fast one part didn't load up and I was able to clip through a wall and I was exploring an outside part of the favela part and there's alot of roads you can walk on but I tried to walk through a building and fell through and was completely submerged in water to the head. There's no swimming animation but max can go deep

I'm confused too...I completed the game today and I'm like, There are cars now??? I ain't see no Cars in the airport, maybe I didn't pay attention as I always was shooting my way....

I never thought I’d ask this sir Max Payne 3 but can you maybe make a video of driving some of the unplayable vehicles like the one showed in the video driven in free roam such as the truck the sports car the police car so on. But I’d love to see all the vehicle handling and how it would work in free roam. But if your busy it’s ok I’m not really forcing you to make a video about the vehicle handling around the maps. Maybe drive around like a big map all I’m thinking is the map from Its Drive Or Shoot Sister chapter for the driving around

Well technically all vehicles are driveable and have handling physics, you just can't enter them by default without a cheat trainer :)

Just like in GTA 4!

The driving animations are far better than whoole GTA franchise

The fact that it is similar to Gta 4 makes the car physics in this game directly realistic. Look at the car physics of Gta 5, which was released after this game. Terrible! We hope Gta 6's vehicle physics will be like Gta 4 and Max Payne 3.

Modders should make accessible roads and be able to drive around São Paulo. Basically GTA but with a touch of Max Payne

This was the first rockstar game I played, I really like Max Payne 3, I think some of y’all hate on it cause you were told to, the cutscenes could be less long for sure, but it isn’t an open world game, so it makes sense, you’re not walking up to a mission start point on a map, I like the game I have 0 complaints about it Also why does this car sound better than GTA 4 cars 💀

the yacht mission is actually just a copy paste from the GTA online yacht. same interior. same design. same exterior. just made to be a little big bigger in max Payne.

You need to use a controller to drive. I have a xbox 360 controller plugged into my PC so I can do it easily :)
